moach_mayhem 10 Posted March 8, 2010 as of now, the disableAI command does not work for aircraft... this makes forcing realistic taxi-takeoff-land behaviour a real pain.... the AI is not capable of relieably handling an aircraft on the ground (specially on small airfields with big planes), so we gotta take matters into our own hands and use scripts with math to "force" the plane to taxi and takeoff properly in such cases (Mandoble has a couple of great scripts for this) we´ll hand control of the plane over to the AI again once the takeoff is complete but before we can do that, the AI becomes a major problem, the pilot keeps forcing the rudder and prevents the plane from taxiing in a straight line.... disableAI does nothing removing the pilot from his sear... now, that does something, but how do we get him back in after the plane is in flight? moveInDriver doesnt seem to work with moving vehicles if only we could disable the pilot´s AI... it would be so much easier.... cheerz
Nutty_101 0 Posted March 8, 2010 I am curious on this one as well. I have issues with planes just stopping if there is any damage to buildings around them.
rexehuk 16 Posted March 9, 2010 forceSpeed 0? Setfuel 0? Limitspeed. Number of ways to force the AI to stop.
W0lle 1047 Posted March 9, 2010 If you want to prevent that the plane moves around: this enableSimulation false You can enable movement back with: this enableSimulation true Only disadvantage here is that player units inside such a disabled vehicle are frozen too (e.g can not look around) or have just a black screen.
