Oligo 1 Posted April 11, 2002 Bush is on a crusade again: As described in Time magazine It seems that Dubya has almost managed to set economic sanctions against U.S. itself by advertising a ban on all cloning of human embryos. This kind of ban will seriously hinder the progress of U.S. companies in Stem Cell R&D, thus weakening their competitive prowess in the area of medicine. Anyway, all the better for us Euros, because we can just roll past the U.S. with our research and sell all our newly created treatments to U.S. after the ban is lifted in ten or twenty years. And of course it WILL be lifted, when untreatably sick people in U.S. see their Euro counterparts healed with stem cell therapy. Oh yes, this ban will go the way of the ban on booze... Gorgi Knootewoot 0 Posted April 11, 2002 Yes, me too. It looks just like Monopoly money. One euro is about Fl. 2,21. But i spent it much too easily. I recently bought an ASUS V8460 ULTRRRAAAA, for only 600 euros. But i didn't realise it then, that it was about Fl. 1300,- No i'm almost broke. I'm a student, i don't get much money. At least not enough to spent a lot for my computermadness.
Oligo 1 Posted April 11, 2002 Oh, come on, you have it easy. One Euro is about 6 FIM. Suddenly all the goddamn prices seem like an incredible bargain to me. But in reality, all those bastards rounded the prices UPWARDS so that they fit the Euro standard nicely. Even beer is now more expensive, goddamn...

Even some things i usally payed Fl 3,50 for are now 2 euros. So that is about Fl 4,50. That is Fl 1,00 higher than before. Suckiesuckie it does, hmmm? advocatexxx 0 Posted April 17, 2002 Even as an American citizen, I also agree that George Bush is by far one of the dumbest presidents ever. The guy can't even keep a straight face for Christ's sake. I mean you look at Kennedy, Nixon, or even Clinton, and you knew you wouldn't wanna fuck with them. But Bush is like a little Texas hillbilly redneck with a shotgun in his mouth, speaking with a foul slacked jaw yokel accent, guarding his cows in a ranch. And this is the guy the much praised (?) American public voted for. I think he should leave such important matters to those who have been propertly educated.
Oligo 1 Posted April 17, 2002 You shouldn't blame the U.S. public too much, since more people did vote for Gore than Bush. It's just that U.S. election system considers the votes given by the citizens of certain states to be more important than the ones given by citizens of other states. Thus, over half of the U.S. population did not vote for Bush and so are not to blame for his idiotic actions.
Die Alive 0 Posted April 17, 2002 I heard that one of the first actions GWB was going to take when he took office last year was a major "crack down" on the porn industry in the US, namely some of the smuttier porn like the S&M and animal porn. There was actually going to be a press confrence in mid-September, but after the WTC attacks, it was put to the back burner for now. If i'm correct, GWB is a pro-lifer, isn't he? Guess that's why he's against stem cell research and all that. -=Die Alive=-

advocatexxx 0 Posted April 17, 2002 Yeah Bush the moron. He spent too much time praisisng Jesus (not that there's anything wrong with taht) as a child. Where Clinton took the American economy to new heights, Bush seems to be doing just the opposite. More concerned about what he believes to be morally right, rather than being interested in securing the future of America.
