sometimes i think that real virtuality could make a better STALKER game than STALKER :p

If only some one was skilled enough to make such a mission

Did Gaia make any other missions? I gotta make a search!! :) Voted PERFECT!

Dont think Gaia has released anything else for ARMA2. I think at least. We would have known. :)

Gaia: IF you have more missions lying around your HD dont feel shy and send them this way! :D ;)

Karel/Gaia/Str has not released any missions for ArmA II aside from EW (and what an awesome debut it is). However, he released When The World Ends for OFP, localized in Czech and English, and World End Tale, localized only in Czech. WTWE is still one of the best campaigns for OFP, and I wish I could have played World End Tale, as it too looks awesome. I could play it, but I wouldn't understand anything. :butbut:

You can find his website here.

And, I thought I'd just show you another example of his work, from World End Tale. It's absolutely incredible.

To answer the thread's topic, I find EW to be perfect.

I don't get it. Everybody (me too) loves this campaign because it's like the Operation Flashpoint campaign, with a story line type of thing :p yet.. BI is going to make the operation arrowhead expansion the same like the Red Harvest campaign... wich everybody hates.. :p

For some reason it lagged like crazy for me when you get to the second level (after the nuke). Anyone else have that problem?

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me, once the nuke went off, bam 9-10fps I think it was the mushroom cloud as once I was away from it my fps jumped back up to normal levels.

Loved the mission though. BIS more of this please.

The thing is, even though I didn't like the Red Harvest campaign and I really want another CWC style campaign I kind of respect BiS for trying it. I mean its horrendously ambitious in an industry which nowerdays seems to be based on doing the same thing over and over.

To be honest I don't think their engine is cabable of doing what they want to do. They seem to want to make a counter-insurgency style campaign. To do that you really need a country teaming with life and with appropriate AI scripting in order to make it come alive. The engine can't model the amount of AIs it needs to make a country feel truly lived in rather than a map with some entities plopped down in the major towns and with some cars with some waypoints driving around the roads. The AI doesen't "understand" the events within well enough to make it seem credible.

Still as long as they avoid putting warfare in the campaign I'll be happy. (God I hated those missions)

Umm what? No they arent. Its clear they stated you will be able to play pilot, infantry, SF and crewman. In MP you will be able to not only play all in one squad but spread out so 1 can be pilot and the rest in SF for example and help eachother doing the same missions. That alone is completelly different than Harvest Red. What happens next story wise is anyones guess.
