Airwolf 50 Posted April 4, 2002 My ofp as well as other games that run in direct 3d mode will skip, alot all the time no matter what. any option i change it lags! I dont understand it seems as if the program stops and goes very quickly, so the moment of lag is fast, its not your average lag, where it stops, or studders, it has a continuous timed skipping moment and i dont know what to do! Please help! My specs: Intel Pentium 4 1.9ghz, ATI Radeon 32mb DDR, 256 PC133 SDRAM, Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Digital.
Mister Frag 0 Posted April 4, 2002 If you have a joystick configured but not plugged in, either remove the joystick in the Control Panel, or plug it in. Windows will constantly poll for it, which can cause stuttering.
-SWAF-Lunatic 0 Posted April 4, 2002 close down all your background programmes, that you dont need when playing the game, clear out your sys tray, so only the sound shortcut is there. see if that helps, if not try reducing your GFX card load, change the settings to a lower level, play about till it works, if this doesnt fix it, make sure you have all the latest drivers. If that don't work reinstall. If it still doesnt work........ cry. hope that helps.
deady 0 Posted April 4, 2002 Try reducing your AGP rate and Aperture Size. 2x is fine for most things, 4x wont give much improvement and *can* cause problems. Aperture size should be half your system RAM, but you can try with a bit lower. These settings should be in your BIOS
