terox 316 Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) For those of you who dont know, the long awaited Teamspeak 3 Beta is now available. It does however lack the functionality of "Channel Commander" or anything close too it For many ArmA gaming communities this functionality is essential and therefore I think it would be prudent if those who want this functionality re-introduced would add their support to the following thread http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=46577&goto=newpost Just a simple "Yes this is an essential function that we would require if we were to migrate to TS3" I think the reasons for the request have already been pointed out on the thread so there is probably no reason to go into a lengthy explanation as to why you feel it is necessary. Please think before you post though, we dont want that thread to turn into a flame war or the TS devs will ignore it. What we want to achieve is a large amount of replies to push this issue to the forefront What we could do with this thread is put together a proposal for the Devs as to how we would like Channel commander to work in conjunction with the additional functionality, eg the multiple levels of nested channels we can now have Edited December 21, 2009 by Terox
Franklin 0 Posted December 21, 2009 when i play with other units and they make use of the channel commander function, it makes me want to punch a baby in the face. that is the most guaranteed way to have cross comms, and ensure nobody can get traffic through to who they need quickly. think outside the box and use the other features to come up with an intelligent commo scheme. Cowboy Pilot 10 Posted December 21, 2009 I love ventrilo, and having phantoms and the most customizable binding system allows us to setup (virtual) comm nets. This works a lot better and is more realistic anyway. The option to also mute inbound streams while transmitting can help to. Hopefully will be looking at some good updates and changes not long from now. Ventrilo is always very low key about their work, and put a lot into it before a official release. W0lle 1051 Posted December 21, 2009 We already have an existing TS3 thread in the off-topic forum. There is no need for another one. Please search before posting, thanks.
