</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Albert Schweizer @ July 04 2002,14:07)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">The only thing I can say after days, weeks, months, years of this conflict that everything seems to be a lie and everyone appears to be a liar! There is not a single newsreport that has been confirmed by both parties. No UN people allowed to double-check.

My conclusion: STAY OUT OF MY NEWS! I wana see relevant things and not always those boring neirds with their guns and their bulldozers walking through dusty roads and ruins and crying women (the hell why do they always cry, they send their son into those suicide attacks). They could show me pictures from a year ago, I wouldnt notice. Nothing changed.

Problem solving is a question of intelligence, want me to draw a conclusion from that?

I want to see important stuff, e.g. more news from Africa! Or maybe they could have news only such as: "Today nobody got killed in the MidEast" which would cut broadcasted news from the MidEast by 95%.

I am really surprised that those two nations still have a stagnating population with this conflict going on for years.

I dont even want to see stupid represenative neirds of the jewish population living in Germany discussing the issue. They bore me, stop boring me, find a damm solution!

If those politicians you have would work for a German/swiss company, they would be kicked out and declared a s Ice-age managers (and without a golden parachute)  mad.gif

I came to the conclusion when I was asked to go shopping with a girl, I hate shopping with girls; I hate it, but there was only MiddleEast discussion on TV so I actually decided to join that girl. How the hell is this possible. AM I GAY, damm do I really prefer shopping instead of TV? no way!! Just that middleEast stuff made me leave my appartment!<span id='postcolor'>

Illuminating.

You think so smile.gif [/irony mode]

That is called "stamp collection" (Sigmund Freud). Too much of that stuff so one day you explode! If at least I would have something where I could get rid of my agressions! E.g. an Arafat and a Sharon puppet, damm I would beat the shit out of em wink.gif! But then again I would centralise all my agressions to only two individuals, whereas it is a problem of the whole of both nations!! I wonder how many Sigmund Freud Psychiatrists you need to heal the Middle East?

I am a decent person to have around: polite, uncomplicated and usually in a good mood, but hell, I am a couch-potatoe( it is so terrible to be confronted with the truth).

She is from Asia and we bought sunglasses for her! Yes we did! And I had to give her advises! But I screwed up cause her boyfriend didnt like her new glasses! Why didnt he go shopping with her?  tounge.gif

Muslims would not get on the planes for fear of seeing a naked woman.

Of course every businessman in this country would start flying again in anticipation of seeing naked women. Hijackings would come to a screeching halt and the airline industry would probably have record sales.

See thats all Sharon and Arafat need, some 'good' secretaries (assuming they can get it up) to release all that pent up sexual frustration... tounge.gif

hell Gerry Adams and Ian Paisley could probably do with some of that as well..... hold on

BBLLLUUUEEEAARRRRG!

the horror!

just imagining Sharon or Arafat in the throes of sexual ecstacy!

The us supports israel,so what, the arab nations got loads of weapons from russia right before seven days war and yom kippur.

Russia intentionally delivered weapons to egypt and syria to start a war, russian specialists were always there to train arabs.

And besides, the israelis not exporting anything,i can name one company raytheon shafir, who make missile technology the us needs for their fighters.

The israelian intelligence and spying material is the best in the world, and the israeli's help the american intelligence services massively, since their mossad is one of the best intelligence forces out there.

It's clear that the problem won't settle itself if we keep going on like this.

I say international communities butt out,let the matter settle themselves, there will be a victor eventually.

If palestinian civvies are moronic enough to stay in refugee camps when warned they'll be attacked,or killed when their own 'oh so glorious army' uses them as human shields.

The palestinians should stop blaming the israeli's for their fate, they should look at their leaders and see that it's them who keep the violence going, forcing israel to respond

And as far as i believe, israel was at war with all of its neighbouring countries at once and still emerged victorious

bla bla bla - another ignorant idiot!

Being the strongest part in a conflict doesn't make you moraly superior. The Israeli people should know that after WWII.

It's basicly quite simple: If I walk into your garden claiming it now belongs to me - while pointing a gun at your head - would that make my claims legitimate?

I agree with you, though the situaton is a little more complex.

The land was fairly partitioned by the British under UN mandate, if the Israelis withdraw from Palestine, grant them a state and the Palestinians accomodate themselves with Israel there can be peace.

The road to peace is paved with compromise and toleration.

let me give another, longer version?

both of us live in a house. though we have disagreements. the landowner comes and suggest a partition. you object. we fight and i throw you out of the window. so you rent a house nearby and start shooting at my house. you are soon joined by you current landowner, and i shoot back at you.

after a while, i have enough of it, come and kick your land owner out and we again stuck together.

tough situation. although i wont ponder with you about the solution, i think you are overtly optimistic in what paratrooper said, although i wish it would be that simple.

last note: no matter what freezbee said, i dont think he appriciates being called names, and neither would you. lets keep it clean ok?

I just said what i said because clearly none of the parties can solve it diplomatically, after a period of time this long it sadly is looking like the only way to get peace there is to effectivaly remove one of the parties.

Of course this could go on and on and there'll never be peace.

Two only answers are a war which ultimately destroys one of the parties,or an agreement with an independent palestinian state, which would be hard to accomplish seeing there are such points very open to discussion like Jerusalem.

I apologise for that last post, posting so late at night clearly doesn't make for a clear post, what i meant didn't come over as i thought it would. confused.gif

What is true however is the fact that i'll defend the israeli's,as they, imho get the blame from everyone, immediately after jenin everyone was crying there was a bloodbath just because the palestinians claimed there was one, without proof or anything.

Another pointless note : Sharon was almost trialed here,in belgium ,for warcrimes.

I don't see why only the israelic side gets trialed, the palestinian power is mainly divided among terrorist leaders.

Scout, I hope you know what you are missing (of course you are, there were times not too long ago when peace appreared near).

Feeling safe when going out and enjoying parties and crowded clubs. You pay more for this conflict than you may think. "I am still alive" shouldnt be the only fun you have at your age. wink.gif I guess this anxiety of suicide-bombers has caused bars and clubs to be empty!

Then Israel should give the Palestinians what is theirs and try to make peace, use your position of power for good not continued attemts to break Palestine; you never will.

I think that you are over-trivializing the issue Paratrooper. If it was so simple then we would have had peace in the region a long time ago. Do you really think that the Israeli and the Palestinians are happy to see their children die?

You know I don't, but there has to be a way to peace, I'm trying to suggest what the first steps may be.

First of all I'd like to say that if you had read the other numerous threads I have answered on this topic, you would know that I dont fail to see the nuances in the ongoing conflict. However, this doesn't change the fact that what Frizbee said was close to being pure facism. He later explained himself and said he was tired. I'll accept that and will later on apologize for my rude behavior in a later post. As you wrote earlier - it's best to keep it clean - and I'm ok with that!

I won't use this oppurtunity to claim that Israel has the most guilt or that they are responsable for most of the misbehavior in the conflict. I'll restrict myself and say that there can never be peace as long as Israel is not willing to go back to the -67 borders. Oh, and they must remove the settlements in those areas. The palestinians on the other hand need to restrict themselves (Hamas, that is). I think the palestinian people should appreciate the fact that they need to stop glorifying the martyrdom and abolish such actions and the groups responsible for it. I guess they need a new leadership based, hopefully, on the sentiment of the larger population - as long as this isn't twisted because of the actions taken by the Sharon government. To make most Israeli' understand that they are not best served by such people would be a good first step - a step I seriously believe is possible. There would never have been taken an initiative like the Oslo-agreement if the people of Israel generally speaking wasn't ready for peace.

I'm confident there will be peace one day!!!

Paratrooper- 'You know I don't, but there has to be a way to peace, I'm trying to suggest what the first steps may be.'

Actually some Palestinian parents are happy, or at least appear to be. It is seen as great and brave to die a martyr and so some Palestinian parents are proud of their suicide

bomber children. Its crazy but thats the way it's become,

Still i would agree that the vast majority are dreading the thought of their children dieing
