todayskiller 10 Posted December 20, 2009 Hey I have one question, in map editor. When I try to place a Destoryer or w/e its called, It never floats on water? it always is "sunk" when I click preview. Is there a way to fix this? Am I doing something wrong? thanks a bunch
AnimalMother92 10 Posted December 20, 2009 this setPos [(getPos this select 0),(getPos this select 1),XXX]; XXX being height, fiddle with the number. put this code in the init line of the ship to set its height above the water.
andersson 285 Posted December 20, 2009 I use XXX as 0, that works fine. 0 is waterlevel.
AnimalMother92 10 Posted December 20, 2009 true, but the setpos code is still very useful, especially if u want to place helos etc on the ships.
Freebie 10 Posted December 20, 2009 true, but the setpos code is still very useful, especially if u want to place helos etc on the ships. I placed a fishing boat and attatched a ship to it. Then I placed a helo on the ship, tested it by previewing it spawning near it and it was there, great. Then I did my whole mission and when I get to the ship the helo's gone. Happens everytime, the helo's there if I spawn near it but gone if I do the mission from the start a long ways away from the ship. Wouldn't have a clue why. Callsign 128 Posted December 20, 2009 It probably slips off the back over time, there also seems to be a bug with the back portion of the frigate and the destroyer whereby a helo will fall into the back of the ship as if it hasn't been defined as a solid surface.
