Tom_Anger 0 Posted November 10, 2009 After I get some feedback I will setup downloads at armaholic. At the moment I am looking for some general feedback. I've been nickling and diming some AAS missions and before I fully go out and throw downloads for servers I was hoping I could get a few folks to give me input on the method behind my madness on these 3. aas32S V0.4 Bunker Up aas32M V0.4 Com Station aas32M V0.4 Chemical Plant Currently available for to vote on at the Urban Resistance PVP Fun games server. I'm looking forward to getting these to the BMF or other servers which is the reason for this beta type of post. Also, I have no problem making these 50+ player missions for those larger scaled servers or if some folks know how to do it that will be optionable for them. Each mission has Charlie as Neutral and 5 bases total. I can easily add more if need be which is why I am looking for some general feedback. Com Station and Chemical plant encourage heli transport, air attacks, and Medics. Bunker up is smaller scaled and plenty of cover locations. One thing I don't want to do is make these available to the public in a download only to find that no one will play them. That is why I would like to get some preview out there 1st so that I can get it close to where it should be the 1st time around. .kju 3244 Posted November 10, 2009 Com Station and Chemical Plant zones are both too much apart. Unless you want this to be a vehicle only mission. Two zones next to each other generally need to be reachable by foot in a reasonable time frame. Defending in AAS, so far, is boring as its static and your are very vulnerable to any type of shelling attack. Just use more zones or move X-Ray way off, if you want to have vehicles (tanks and planes) not too close to the main zones. Apart from that, from the look of it, they seem good design and fun. Some zones might be too much in the open or need to be larger by watching your screens. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Tom_Anger 0 Posted November 10, 2009 I think the zones are something like 800-1000 meters apart from each other, however, the blackhawk transport with the need for medics is what I was looking for. There are some medics out there that get no joy on the smaller zone maps, however, after your response I may make these 7 base maps and add a zone in the field of action somewhere. Drew 10 Posted November 12, 2009 Can I make a suggestion, not that its in your map(Havent tested it yet), but Any other AAS map ive come across, the Ammo boxes have SMAW launchers, and lets be honest here the smaw launcher is way too overpowered for vechiles such as BMP's, APCS, T72s, etc etc(1shot 1 kill),. would it be possible to get this removed for the future AAS maps? Tom_Anger 0 Posted November 12, 2009 Ammo crates can be customized per mission design I believe by the mission designer editting the populateAmmoCrate.sqf file. Since I would like to conform to the standard AAS designs by coolbox and others my suggestion to you would be to go the AAS development team and put in for a design request. http://dev-heaven.net/projects/coolbox-aas/issues BTW I have been redesigining these layouts to make the (M)edium a bit smaller scaled to encompass quicker fun and action. Tom_Anger 0 Posted November 20, 2009 Yeah - when these are ready for the public there will be 32 and 50 players available. Tom_Anger 0 Posted November 28, 2009 I'm scrapping the Chemical one I think due to too many hills and not enough terraign to have camps at a smaller scale level.. The Com Station I have on my pc is just about ready to go. The battle goes around the com staion which is cool. Every camp you can use the com station as a reference point if played in Veteran mode, lol. I just want to work on some other things before releasing. WIP at the moment I'm afraid. Tom_Anger 0 Posted November 28, 2009 I've updated the Siege Tacitcal Missions on the Urban Resistance servers if you want to get a feel for what is to come in the next PVP update pack.
