Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted April 1, 2002 Might be. But they work with half-life :/ Anyway... He said they were fun the first week... after that he prefered playing with monitor due to several reason.... fx when he sniped in cs.. he had to close one eye :/
deathguy 0 Posted April 1, 2002 well doh! real sniper need to close one eye to be able to shoot right
Guest Posted April 1, 2002 Nope.. The first thing you learn when shooting with optics is that you keep *both* eyes open. You use the left eye for distance estimation. It is a bit tricky at first, but one can learn it pretty fast.
Mister Frag 0 Posted April 1, 2002 Distance estimation requires both eyes to be open, otherwise you will have no depth perception. After that, if you are shooting using optics that have any appreciable amount of magnification, you should close your non-dominant eye. If you are using a low-magnification or non-telescopic sight, it is indeed best to keep both eyes open -- it is a principle exploited by the Bindon Aiming Concept used by Trijicon and a host of other sight vendors. deathguy 0 Posted April 2, 2002 really? I did not know that, I was thinking that sniper use the left eye to get a quick look of the area and then close it to be able to take a clean shot
