Made a mistake with the Extractor*

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, ive made a mistake while going through the tut on my comp so that i can use the bis tools.

Where it says this:

â—¦Dowload the latest Versions of ExtractPbo and DePbo by Mikero at DevHeaven

â—¦Extract them right into our Tutorial partition O:\ComTools\ExtractPbo.....

â—¦Move the DePbo.dll from the dowloaded DePbo into the ..Windows\System32 folder (as explained in the readme.DePbo.txt)

â—¦Rightclick on a *.pbo and choose Open with, then point to the ExtractPbo\ExtractPbo.exe and mark the checkbox to always open this filetype with ExtractPbo.exe.

◦Now each time you unpack a *.pbo by doubleclick you´ll recieve a clean unpacked file with *.p3ds, config.cpp and all other stuff from the pbo.

Well i did it on the wrong file, instead of the pbo which ive now done anyway i did it on the BESIGN file, ive messed around with it and now its open with notepad! but i dont want this, i want it back to the original file it was in the first place.

Here is a pic to see:

Please help, thanks

1) Dont worry about bisign file type.

2) RMB + hold shift => open with (whatever you want); check always open with

Looks like you have XP. In explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options. Under File Types tab, look for BISIGN within Registered File Types. Delete. It has no association now.
