f12 question trakerIR

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a issue with tracker. I don't know what I did but when ever I try to use F12 to center my tracker I get a action menu pop up, the same one that pops up when you hit space bar. I looked in options but I didnt see any thing there. Any one have an idea how I can fix this?

It's built-in. Maybe some config editing could change it, but what would the alternate key be?

Either deal with hitting ESC afterwards or change they key in TrackIR to Ctrl+F12 or maybe Numpad keys (which can be remapped).

Change the key within TrackIR itself (to something unused in-game). I never used the keypad zero (I think it's a tactical view or a map view in-game) so I made that my re-center key for TIR.

You can't (as far as I know) change the F keys in the game.

edit: tcp beat me to it, nm. :)

Just select the action "Center" and click on the button that says F12, then just press the new button.

I changed center to zero on numpad. Quick and easy to reach in a hurry.

I found 7(pause),8(centre) and 9(precision) on the numpad to be good. they don't do anything useful in game anyway, so you can unassign them in Arma controls.

Also, after getting TrackIR the way you like it, save the profile (any name will do) then make it the default profile to load. If not, on reboots, it may revert back to it's own default profile upon loading.

I have two thumb buttons on the left side of my Razer Lachesis mouse - one for PTT over teamspeak, the other for centering TrackIr.

Doesn't get much easier than that! :dancehead:
