speech recognition software

Hi all,

I have been looking into speech recognition software and i have been trying ot set it up with arma 2 with no luck. I was wondering if any else has done this before and with what programs. I am running win7 32bit so that rules out PiLfIuS. And VAC cost moeny so i would perfer not to use that. If anyone has any other programs/profiles could they let me no about them.

Now that i got the new joystick and the trackir, i think the only thing missing is the voice commands now :)

I've been thinking of giving it a shot. There have been some threads on the topic but nothing I can put my finger on. There's this clip from ArmA1 that shows it can be pretty effective:

Search on Pilflus.

Somebody uploaded a config file for it and it works well.

It was talked about a few months back when the game first game out, so have to do some digging.

so your saying someone make a con fig file for PiLfIuS that allows it to be used in windows 7?

Now i no that a few months back soemone release there profile for PiLfIuS, but it also failed to work with windows 7.

Ya i remember seeing those videos, that is what makes me so excited about it, sounds like it would be fun and easy.

I tried pilfius and another one, I also tried using the windows one and saying keys, still haven't found anything that works, any help would be appreciated.

I used W7 also.

Alot of people have reported Pilflus as having issues in W7.

Check my sig, it has links to a profile and a thread already exists that details a hell of alot, oh the thread also details what I added to the profile I was passed :)

But all in all it seems W7 has problems, not seen anyone report a fix (well I haven't yet).

As a side issue at 1 min 26 in that youtube clip I love how the AI voice says "go, GO GO!!" really fast like hes a midget with issues ... sorry couldn't resist posting that bit.

ya i found all that stuff, with ease, in fact it was the first thread that came up, i am jsut wondering if anyone got past the win7 issue, i think tho i am jsut gonig to install win xp on this computer with win7 and jsut use it in that. i heard aram 2 runs better on win xp anyway hehe.

You can easily make your own profile using the Shoot Editor v2 ( http://www.ghostaholic.com/datas/users/1948-shootprofileeditorv2.zip ) plus this excellent table of key commands by alpha-kilo i think :

I run on XP for Arma2 so didn't know of issues with Pil...
