elementy 10 Posted October 18, 2009 tell me your PC spec. hmm.. visibility 3600 is too high value.. visibility 3600 at i7 3.2Ghz with GTX285 3way sli's frame is almost 25~45 I advise, it will better value less than 1800. but 6sec freeze is so long.. Use "Ultimate Defrag" http://download.cnet.com/UltimateDefrag-Freeware-Edition/3000-2094_4-10582157.html In options specify to put ARMA2 directory in high performance part of disk (outer part) As a side note about your grafix settings, try... Anisotropic Filtering: HIGH Antialiasing: NORMAL (On my GTX285 it has same FPS as disabled) PostProcess: LOW (not much visual difference to HIGH but much faster) Shadow Detail: HIGH (again with GTX285 runs well) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
bbblaz 10 Posted October 19, 2009 Did the defrag, my settings are there in the image btw. The menus take just as long, but its a 4second freeze, the mouse appears, then 2-3 more seconds. Same with "esc" and gear. Specs: Q6600 @ 2.4ghz 2gigs ram WinXP Service pack 2 GTX 250 (I know it sucks but I don't really care..) I get high fps with my current settings.. around 80. Also, if i die in a mission, the menu that pops up take six seconds to load.. So it's leading me to believe that this problem occurs when something else happens in-game, for example, the map popping up, gear, the esc menu, the suspend menu, steams game overlay.. everything! BUT!
