Cant load save!!!

Hi

I am currently on badlands in the campaign. I saved my game then it was also auto saved about a minute later. Just after the auto save the game crashed to desktop. Ever since the crash I cant load any save. Is there any reason for this or fix because if not I might aswell just throw the damn game away?

I did try renaming the manual save to autosave.ArmA2Save and it didnt work.

autosaves sometimes get corrupted. Although I've never had it happen, some people have reported it...it's best to enable unlimited saves in the difficulty options and save whenever you want

I cant load my manual save I dunno what to do I have to load a save I couldnt stand having to do it all again.

"bad file structure"...this right here raises some red flags. It's possible your HDD is going bad (not certain tho). You might wanna check that ;)

But other than that you might have to revert to the very beginning of that mission; but you shouldn't have to re-do the whole campaign over again

I thought that would be the case what a fucking joke. Surely there is something that can be done to fix this because im not the only one.

same error again in campaign as OP, cant load last autosave and 2 manual save before it, lucky me so I can load 3rd manual save which is 3 hours of play before

I have thrown nice amount of money for all arma releases cause I was under impression of arma3 promotion

so I start to play arma3 and I couldnt cause of unplayable fps problems with over recomended spec, ok I told myself, gonna play arma2 campaigns while they sort it out..

but no, I have to re live new set of problems, I mean, come on, I had never seen game with save game problems

anyway its my fault cause I didnt check forums about product quality

fanboys will say that arma is about multiplayer...whatever

arma is about me not feeling any good about spent money on it, whole fkn series :-(

one of more programmers in bi team should find new job, some things are great and some are worse than bad, so hard to verify saved file ?

guess I can't expect a fix for this 4 year after initial report

Happend a lot for mebefore but a few weeks ago i completely reinstalled my PC, and since that everything goes smooth and my saves dont get corrupted anymore. So maybe just your system is full of junk after long time without reinstal and need some maintenance as mine did.

I have problems only with OA, arma 2 and 3 saves are fine

Well i never installed any junk either. Junk iam talking about, gets acumulated in your computer after some time by just simply using that computer. From time to time, about every half a year you should completely reinstal your PC to get rid of that junk.

I know what you mean. But I believe that if my computer/hard drive has issues with writing/reading data files from disks I would be seeing problems in other OS areas and not only in Arma OA. I did many steam verifies and complete deletion and instalation of arma series with no results.

Can you tell me about problems you had, did they happen only in OA ? Were you using beta OA or not.

And now when you do not have problems, do you use OA beta or not, or you talk about A2.

ARMA II CO with all DLCs and betapatch game sometimes frozen and i had to hardreset entire PC then the last save was unaccesible. Problem dissapeared after reinstalation of OS.
