BeerHunter 0 Posted October 10, 2009 Should be simple enough for BI to fix the problem of AI armed with rockets (whatever CLASS) switching from a perfectly good rifle to their rocket launcher to take out wondering AI guards. A) Build an array of targets that REQUIRE a rockets. B) Contact. Get the CLASS of the contact. Scan the array. If it's in there use the rocket otherwise use the rifle. There...another bug fixed...:p

There should be an order which is under actions so: select unit> 6 (actions) > equip AT/AA launcher.
BeerHunter 0 Posted October 10, 2009 why would the AI choose a rifle over a perfectly good rocket to take out a vehicle/tank?!? Maybe because they too know that if you pump enough 7.62 rounds into an Abrhams it will eventually explode??? :p;)
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted October 15, 2009 I've watched a lot from the History Channel series "Shootout" lately. I'm amazed how often RPGs are used against personell... In real life... Using light AT warheads... In some other thread I asked if light AT warheads was the real case, and apparently it was. OG7 warheads (anti personell frag) apparently wasn't common to own in Afghanistan (or wasn't as heavily exported by russia). If you think this is unrealistic behaviour... In OFDR I had a sniper team engage and fire upon a tank platoon :)

In OFDR I had a sniper team engage and fire upon a tank platoon :) yes but you don't tend to see Coalition forces use those tactics...it's mainly insurgent forces that aren't as well armed and only have a small variety of weapons they use (i.e. AK's and RPG launchers). The whole reason US soldiers bring an AT launcher is because of possible armor or fortified positions; not for a group of bad guys in a field (which is what they tend to fire at in Arma). That's what the M203/GP25 grenade launchers are for

Well at least they are emulating real Battlefield2-players perfectly.
Commando84 0 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) haha lol :D Imo it makes for variation when shit blows up around or close to your position and not only bullets flying around :) I wish JAM pack would make a comeback for arma 2 in a original kind of way, there you could have soldiers that shoot rpg's at soldiers or vehicles or choppers/aircraft :D Really made them blackhawk insertions alot more tense if you know you could get a hit from rpg.
