Recommended Posts

People on here have said it wont happen. But

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_ArmA_2_on_PS3

Say differently. Im confused. I seen OFP DR and then seen people mention ARMA 2, so I was looking forward to both. But According to others ARMA 2 isnt going to be on PS3. Is it or isnt it. And pleas post a link/video of where it says it will/wont.

Oh IGN, that bastion of accuracy.

Sorry old chap, but I'd very much doubt Arma2 could be dumbed down enough for a playstation.

"dumbed down"! Whats that supposed to mean! PC players and console players are no different! How would that be "dumbed down"! There are more people with PS3s that could play it than people with PCs that could.

If a version comes out for 360 and ps3 I wouldnt count on it being out anytime in 09. 2010 maybe but 2009 is getting closer to coming to an end and we have no set date. I guess time will tell.

ArmA 2 has literally hundreds of controls, the DualShock 3 has like 10 buttons?

Though they got OFP Elite on Xbox...

You should just wait for OFP DR, it will be an awesome game.

Think he is talking about the Hardware issues more then anything, could be wrong though. Consoles are not as high powered as PC's, also some games where DUMBED DOWN as he said for consoles (GRAW1 and GRAW2 as a quick example.. which where completely differnt games on console then they where on pc). Or he could have meant the graphics might be dumbed down a little? (look at Team Fortress2/Call Of Duty 4 on ps3/360 and compare the graphics to a good gamign pc). Also something I would be worried about is the controls... ARMA2 literally uses every key on the keyboard for PC, might be a littl etough to fit that all on PS3/360.

I would enjoy a console version of ARMA2 though (:

It means by the time they strip it down enough (graphically) so the PS3 can handle running it you probably won't recognize the game.

Much less the controller issue.

It may get to PS3 sooner or later, but it will definitely have to be tweaked to hell so the PS3 hardware can handle it.

I'm no PS3 hater either. I have one, and a 360 for what it's worth.

accoring to the developers who post on this site, they currentley have no plans to release it on 360.

Let's wait DR sales on 360+PS3. Divide that number by 3 and there is a rough estimate how many copies DDA2onC could sell

(to keep our pc friends happy DD=DumbedDown)
