desertjedi 3 Posted August 25, 2009 What exactly about the game looks bad? I can't tell from your screenies. One thing I can tell you is that your aspect ratio is wrong, it should be 5:4. I have most settings set to Very High and the game looks fantastic. There were times when I first started playing where I actually bugged out because it looked..."real". Leonski 10 Posted August 26, 2009 (edited) Your aspect ratio is messed up.also if u want a better looking game turn up your screen resolution Well I set it on 1920x1200 with aspect ratio 4:3 normale. I have it zoomed in. It is if the Anti-Aliasing and the Anisotropic Filtering isn't working! http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q68/leonski_1/ARMA-6.jpg :confused: So can you explain me what I have to change?? Because when I play CoD4 or 5 I got no problem at all. Edited August 26, 2009 by Leonski
Marc Shepard 10 Posted August 26, 2009 Put Antialiasing to 8, it makes the game graphics better. And put the aspect ratio compatible with your sreen, it looks like a bit small... You can increase your resolution. Put the Postprocess effects to "Very High". If your CPU is nice (3Ghz minimum I think), this will looks like that:
-)rStrangelove 0 Posted August 26, 2009 On the screen with the grenade launcher you can see that AA is almost non existent, looks like it's at AA 2. Maybe your ATI settings in windows are overwriting those in ArmA. Also, set Shadows on very high. Looks better and gives you more fps lol. Don't ask us why. ;)

Leonski 10 Posted August 26, 2009 Still the same. I think it isn't the ratio but something with the graphic-cards because when i play ARMA the crossfire function is disabled and i don't know why. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q68/leonski_1/ATI.jpg

Because when I play CoD4 or 5 I got no problem at all. You know that 1920x1200 is an aspect ratio of 16:10, right? In one screenshot it looks like you have it set to 1600x1200 at a 16:9 ratio, but 1600x1200 is actually a 5:4 ratio. For AA I honestly prefer 5 over High because it seems to give a clearer picture with roughly the same performance. I see you said before you had it at 5:4 for 1600x1200, so it seems your profile might have a problem. Have you deleted your ArmA.cfg file and tried again? Or uninstalling and reinstalling the game? The last thing I can think of is something in the ATI CCC is adjusting the games scaling and aspect ratio, but since I haven't had an ATI card in months I couldn't tell you where to look in the drivers for that. Yesterday I uninstall the hole game and deleted all the file with arma in it. but still the same. The last thing I can think of is something in the ATI CCC is adjusting the games scaling and aspect ratio, but since I haven't had an ATI card in months I couldn't tell you where to look in the drivers for that. Well it has to be something because I'm gonna go nuts about it. And every time I start the game the Crossfire function disable it.

desertjedi 3 Posted August 27, 2009 Call me crazy but you're NOT running in Crossfire but you're going to be running at a high resolution with High to Very High settings? If so, I think AA will be the least of your problems...and frame rate will be your biggest.
Leonski 10 Posted August 27, 2009 yeah that maybe the case later. but why is it that my settings, what ever i do to change it, still is looking like it is in low setting!
