lastn1ght 10 Posted August 22, 2009 So this is a problem I've seen come about in many missions for other people but it's the first time it's happened for me. Anyway, all my objectives are complete. I've secured all the towns, captured 2/2 evidence by talking to the abused civilians and I've just finished saving the village Vishnoye or whatever from the warlord. The mission won't end though even though all my tasks are green and accomplished. The only thing I didn't do was I didn't kill the priest. I ignored that mission by telling the CDF general that we had our "signals crossed" and he misunderstood me when he thought I was asking to kill the priest. I have the latest version of the game. i'm currently standing at Point Oranges scratching my head...why won't this mission end?
todayskiller 10 Posted August 22, 2009 I had a problem similar to this...I ended up killing the priest, then went and captured the final town, and it went to the cutscene of the CDF and Independant guy talking to you (Cooper). But then after they were done talking, An enemy would take over the town so it would glitch and I couldn't move or it wouldn't end, just make sure you kill all the enemies, and make sure everything is took over, then try. WarOnDemand 10 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) Solution A: Endmission- Hold 'Left Shift' down, press - symbol on numberpad, let go and type "endmission" real fast. Problem- Doing this sometimes causes you to spawn in the enemy base during the next mission, which is occupied 'by like 50 CHDZK' infantry that endlessly recruit afresh. You will be unable to order your squad to do anything as you will be busy talking to them, likely getting you killed or one of them. Solution B: Revert Save- When at the main screen go to your list of current completed missions in campaign. Select Badlands and revert back to the beginning of it, this will end the corruption in that current save. Problem- This will delete all progress after your selection. It will be as if you never played Badlands and you will need to restart it. Solution C: Editor- Load the following mission after Badlands (Dogs Of War) in the editor and play it there. Problem- Not likely to play out as it should based on previous actions and can be easily bugged. Edited August 23, 2009 by WarOnDemand
demonlord89 10 Posted September 2, 2009 Anymore ideas?
demonlord89 10 Posted September 3, 2009 Ive taken the 4 towns...protected vishnoue....got the evidence...and no more missions. And the mission wont end....i choosed to not kill priszhak.???
Rhammstein 10 Posted September 6, 2009 Same problem, but I didn't gather all evidence, to my knowledge this isn't necessary to end the mission. Off Topic..maybe: You can't kill the priest, when I went to assassinate the guy..forget his name, the priest said to make up my mind, (he was there rather than the guy I was supposed to kill). I saved then for the hell of it tried to take out the priest, 6 clips of ammo and he kept walking away, so. He's invulnerable. So must both warcrime evidence be gathered to end badlands, or am I bugged as well. I'll be so upset, it took me over 6 hours on the hardest difficulty. FlankerDFR 10 Posted September 6, 2009 I killed the priest/NAPA terrorist OK in my camoaign. 4 round on auto. If all else fails, and you want to move on...........while in game; press L Shift then press the minus key (-) on the keypad, quickly type in endmission and press enter..............that's how I completed Badlands (I still hadn't collected one of two evidences). I got the end mission screen showing all objectives completed and and my performance summary. Good luck!
Rhammstein 10 Posted September 6, 2009 I did everything it asked, and it took forever to do everything on the tough setting I use, and still it wouldn't end. I really pissed off I had to use that keyboard cmd to get past it. It didn't cause any issues doing so, like someone said it could, but it's pretty messed up to spend 8 hours and 3 days on a mission and wind up having to use a cheap keyboard cmd to get passed. Well I guess it actually doesn't matter, I fulfilled absolutely everything, and I didn't did much. I think 5 or 6 times, for me at least I thought I did well. I can't believe how many bugs there are, but at least none are game breaking, thanks to that endmission cmd.

Jezuro 452 Posted September 8, 2009 We've recently identified this issue with the mission not ending properly sometimes and the fix will be released ASAP. So far, it looks like you won't have to restart the mission in order to successfully finish it. Again, sorry for this unfortunate bug.
Glabro 10 Posted November 25, 2010 So....how "soon" is that fix going to be here? I've tried 1.08, and 1.07, and if I go kill Prizrak, the mission won't end. I tried taking the last town straight away before taking out Prizrak, and the mission did end - but if I go kill him it won't. And AFAIK not killing Prizrak is NOT good for the future of Chernarus. I even tried the endmission cheat - but this resulted in me not killing Prizrak and securing an alliance even though I did - so the continuity is lost and I'd get the wrong ending. So.....how soon is soon? It's almost 2011.
