otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 8, 2009 Hi there guys, I'd like to know how I send more men to a squad: for example I've an infantry squad composed by 12 men. How do I send them more? If I can't, if I've a squad which loses some men, how do I reinforce it?
Bad Pilot 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Is this an editing question?
Alex72 1 Posted August 8, 2009 Better state in more detail what you mean. -If its a mission making question - post it in that section and explain what mission etc. -If its in the campaign - post in the official mission section and explain in detail for example wich missions and where in it. -etc First reason is that the game is huge and there is a lot of missions and many ways to make missions. Missions are "designed" so one mission can feature functions another missions cant. So detailed info is needed. The second thing is about posting in the correct section as it gets full fast here. And it gets hard to read - and your posts might get lost as its in the wrong section. :) Have a nice day and hope you get help. Alex
fitzee 7 Posted August 8, 2009 That isn't a standard game feature. You would need a reinforcement script.
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 8, 2009 (edited) Well, I thought it was a "general" question guys :\ However I'm talking about "army command" (or High Command if you prefer ;)): the army is composed by different teams (infantry teams, tank teams and so on) so, if one (or some) of them lose(s) some soldiers, how do I send 'em more? ;) Edited August 9, 2009 by otreblA_SNAKE_[ITA]
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 9, 2009 Come on guys, a small answer *_*
TimRiceSE 10 Posted August 9, 2009 already answered. some kind of reinforcement script needs to be included in the mission.
Bulldogs 10 Posted August 9, 2009 It's a script in the mission, if it's there the you can transfer them by selecting them and going to communcations
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 9, 2009 (edited) I can see the "send men" menu but if I select (for example) two men of mine and then I click on "send men", I've a clean menu (maybe there should be a list but I can't see anything). Same thing if I select the squad: nothing. Oh, I've another question: how do I create more squads? If I buy a BTR and I want to make a new squad with it, what should I do? Thank you =) @TimRiceSe: why didn't BIS included this possibility? Come on, am I really supposed to make a new script? TimRiceSE 10 Posted August 9, 2009 uh... thats the whole point of scripting. Theres a million possible things that you can do with the engine that BIS made, scripting is the way you use it.
galzohar 31 Posted August 9, 2009 Just about anything (other than throwing units in the editor and giving them waypoints) need scripting in this game. That's why you don't see a huge amount of missions being made - most people either can't or won't do what it takes to make them.
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 9, 2009 I know it but I don't want to make a script for a few missions of the SP campaign I just want to play it XDD. If I have to make scripts I'll make 'em for mine games ;)
LeadCommando65 10 Posted August 9, 2009 The "scripts" are already included. Every mission using the warfare scripts has the possibility of creating and reinforcing squads of AI. Use the communications menu avaible through the number 8 on your keyoard.
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 9, 2009 I dunno if it's a bug and I should to restart that mission:

otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 10, 2009 So, I'll have to edit all the missions with that script. I still can't understand why BIS didn't include this feature...never mind =) thank you all however
