Why?

Recommended Posts

This is a few whys, sorry to be a pain;

1. Why is there no Apache AH-64 in the game? Is it because it's not used by USMC?

2. Why are there no flares or anything on the planes (I just saw a mod which adds them though)

3. Why do I get lag when I enter the 'largest city' in the Southern port of Chernaraus. It has a few tall building, and a crane.

Cities have a lot of complex objects in them - so not only a higher poly count, but a higher batch count.

Yeah, I hope that one day they will go back to using US Army assets like in the original OFP. They have alot more pretty toys to mess around with, and would like to have the AH-64 to use not through the method of a mod either.

The bigger cities lag like crazy unless you play in the editor with no AI in them. Maybe BIS will be able to optimizes them at some point.

USMC doesn't use the AH-64 Apache, they use the smaller Cobra, as its smaller profile makes it easier to store on Landing Ships like the LPD types

Mods cures all of these problems. Once proper tools/updated ect whatever comes out, everything will start BOOMing just like it did in ArmA1. This game is based on the Marines, so that's why none of that Army stuff is in there. Doesn't bother me any because my online Unit is based off the 31st MEU (Marines) so I'm more then happy with what I have. But believe me, once those mods start coming out, I will have my Army units and Army Vehicles ect ect. Mods are what keep games alive... no reason to NOT want to use them... very easy to use (especially with an ArmA Launcher).
