Howard 0 Posted July 29, 2009 Operation Resolute Fury Requires Footmunch's F-16: DOWNLOAD Operation Resolute Fury DOWNLOAD By Private Draxel of the 7th Cavalry Regiment ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Be part of a realism based Suppression of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD) mission as a NATO F-16 pilot. Communicate with the battlefield and follow realism based airfield procedures. Utilize your payload correctly to succeed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's notes: This is my first mission to be released to the public. I spent about two weeks on it, with a lot of help from the Mission Editing section right here on the Bohemia Interactive forums! I'm pretty satisifed with the final result, but in the end it's your opinion that truly matters! Remember, this mission can become confusing, pay close attention to your orders! The mission does not follow a spesific story, if I get around to make another one I will definitly include a storyline on a large scale. And one last thing, remember to check what options you have available on the radio! -------------------------------------------------------------------- Credits Voice actors: Fury 1 - Private Mustang (7th Cavalry) TOWER - Specialist Cappy (7th Cavalry) Yellowjacket - General Plumbly (7th Cavalry) AWACS - Private Mayday (7th Cavalry) Mission Lead - Grunt Jammer (7th Cavalry) ---------- Footmuch for his outstanding F-16 addon Big Dawg KS for his expertise in mission editing Major Tempus (7th Cavalry) for real-life references Enjoy! Scimitar67 10 Posted July 30, 2009 Could not get the Footmunch F16 to download. Said it was not there. Do I have to be logged in there to get it?
JDog 11 Posted July 30, 2009 I just downloaded it like 5min ago, worked for me.
JDog 11 Posted July 30, 2009 Two thumbs up man :) I haven't finished it yet, windows auto-update came up and I accidentally click "Restart Now" instead of "Postpone" lol... damnit! Anyway, great job w/ the voice-overs and the whole setup. I obv suck with freefall bombs, however. Glad you got the whole armor drain to work though, really added a great effect and imminent-doom feeling haha!
Rough Knight 9 Posted August 6, 2009 Hi guys, I like the mission. I get stuck however when I have to provide CAS support to the ground assault. Not sure where that is supposed to be? Please help : ) THanks Rough Knight
Rough Knight 9 Posted August 6, 2009 I noticed that on the radio..... you take out the T72 and BRDM? Also can you re-stock weapons? Anyways thanks for the mission it is good fun...hard 4 me learning to fly : ) Thanks Frosty
Howard 0 Posted August 6, 2009 Sorry, you cannot rearm. The aircraft is fitted with enough munitons to complete the mission. The T-72 group is purely for distraction. You have a mission to complete and the mission has higher priority than targets of oppertunity. What do to after striking the AA positions: You get the radio message from Yellowjacket requesting CAS in grid ref 096126, it's quite easy to find, there is a blue circle on the map by the lower part of the east coast. When you get there there will be 1x Shiilka and 2x BTR-90's (one might already be destroyed) simply light up the upper area of the valley with a illumination flare, find the weapon that is selected before the Mk-84's and lock on to a target, when you have their positions you'll have to use the Mk-84's to destroy these armored targets, so practice using dumb bombs! once they are destroyed, Yellowjacket will tell you that the targets are on fire. Now is the time to use the "Request Landing" function on the radio, simply follow the waypoints and instructions. Once you land, check the map for the location of the parking area in the airfield, taxi there and you're done!
froggyluv 2136 Posted August 6, 2009 This is a really well done mission the only problem is: I really suck at hitting targets while under fire! This is the kind of mission I need to take a day to get the hang of but from what I've played so far, it's got a really nice feel to it. Anybody try DBO's countermeasures addon with this? SpiderCenturion 10 Posted August 6, 2009 Downloaded it...but can't figure out how to get munch's F-16 add on installed correctly. It keeps saying that I can't play because I don't have it installed. Where do I put the F-16 file??
Rough Knight 9 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) Downloaded it...but can't figure out how to get munch's F-16 add on installed correctly. It keeps saying that I can't play because I don't have it installed. Where do I put the F-16 file?? 1). After downloading the F16 mod extract it. You should have a folder named @glt_f16 from memory. inside that folder there should be another folder called "addons". Inside the "addons" folder are the f16 files. 2). Anyway...copy the whole @GLT_f16 folder and put it in you ARMA2 game directory. ie c:\Program files\bohemia interactive\ ARMA2 ...........(or where ever the install location is on your machine) Then on your shortcut to the game on your desktop or where ever it lives right click on it and edit its properties. at the end of the "target" line add the following: -mod=@GLT_F16 ie should look like this "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@GLT_F16 -nosplash Sorry for the explanation but I'm not sure how much you know about arma mods. An easier way to manage mods is download any of the arma2 launchers from you favourite mod site ie armaholic or armedassault.info and just select the mods you want to use. In that case all you have to do is copy them to your game folder, the launcher will detect them automatically. The location and folder structure in item 1 & 2 above are essential however. PM me if you need any help getting it working. Thanks Frosty Edited August 7, 2009 by Rough Knight
EBass 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Completed the mission, though it doesen't seem to end. I taxi the F-16 into the hanger and then nothing. Good mission though!
Howard 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Are you sure you're going to the Parking Area and not the hangar you start at?
