-s!Gm4- 10 Posted July 14, 2009 - your system specs? (expecially OS) - what router? firmware-version? Did you already try to get some help / advice from the manufacturer's HP? Oftentimes they can help you better / more precisely. Does this restart also happen with other games?
Simo16 10 Posted July 14, 2009 yes sorry^^ i have windows xp, my router is a zyxel p600 series it happens only with this game if someone know italian i can do more precise sorry^^
-s!Gm4- 10 Posted July 14, 2009 Hey ;) Lad, no problem. I'm not english either, so don't worry. I guess no one will complain over "not so good" english as long as we can make our point clear. So, i found no P600, but instead a whole bunch of modems/routers: http://www.zyxel.com/web/product_category.php?PC1indexflag=20040812093058&display=6239 I still dont know which is yours exactly. Anyway, you should check your firmware and update it eventually. A firmwareupdate brings lots of bugfixes/improvements with it ooftentimes and perhaps this is the best/fastest solution to your problem. Did you configure a firewall (in the router itself)? If so, did you configure an exception for Arma2? Although it is not recommended, you might want to try switching that FW off... Also (a bit trivial, but hey... at least we try everything ;) ) put your LAN-cable-connector into another port in the router. Also, you might want to try to put the cable in another port (if you have more than one on your board, of couse) on your motherboard. Another point comes to my mind.. do you got the router on the same power plug (the thingy where the electricity comes out of you wall ;) ) as the rest of your computer? Perhaps your router is very sensitive. You might try to connect it to another, seperate power plug.
=wfl= sgt bilko 10 Posted July 14, 2009 A similar phenomena was common while updating server list in COD4 on some routers. Turned out to be the routers "Denial of Service" protection kicking in due to the "spam". It was called something else in some routers setup but if it was disabled the problem disappeared. Was later fixed in a patch for server browser, iirc.

rekrul 7 Posted July 15, 2009 Hi. I work at ZyXEL and it looks like the CPE crashes because Arma opens too many connections at the same time. This is probably a bug that has been fixed already so look on the bottom of the CPE and give me the exact model (probably P660-*1 or something - I need the complete name) of the gray sticker there, then log into the CPE and check what Firmware (ZyNOS) version you're running. von_paulus 0 Posted July 15, 2009 Great! I wish I could have also in this forum people working in ATI and NVIDIA. :)
Bulldogs 10 Posted July 15, 2009 That would explain it. Considering that most games use 1-3 ports and Arma uses 10+
MJK-Ranger 0 Posted July 15, 2009 Simo16 have an ZyXEL Prestige 600 http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/Prestige600/Prestige600index.htm Cheers
rekrul 7 Posted July 15, 2009 There is no such thing as a Prestige 600, that's the general name for the entire ADSL/ADSL2+ series of CPEs which mounts to a ridiculous number of models (like 50 or something) and one CPE can have 2-3 FW branches so I need the exact model and FW version. Or atleast FW version and I can backtrack from there.
Simo16 10 Posted July 15, 2009 The model is P-660HW-D1
KJT 0 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) The model is P-660HW-D1 I had similar problems with 660HW (+ lagging and high pings) until I got rid of it. Now I'm using similar A-link model and have no problems. -KJT- Edited July 15, 2009 by KJT spelling
rekrul 7 Posted July 16, 2009 I don't know if you have the OBM FW or not but DL this file: ftp://ftp.zyxel.dk/P-660HW-D1/firmware/P-660HW-D1_3.40(AGL.7)C0.zip Open the file and pull the .bin file to your desktop. Log into the router -> Maintenance -> FW upgrade -> Browse -> Select the BIN file from your desktop -> Upload/Upgrade -> Wait until the SYS (or PWR on some models) stops blinking and is lit continuously for at least 5 secs. Do NOT power off your CPE during FW upgrade as it will be a major hassle to get it going again. If you don't have (AGL.x) FW on your unit, the file will be uploaded but no upgrade will happen as it is the wrong firmware. You can check if you have (AGL.x) either on the first screen or System -> General Info (depending on how your GUI looks). Modifications in V 3.40(AGL.5)b1 | 01/23/20091.[bUG FIX] Device will crash if download BT torrent with 1000+ session and >1MB/s download speed. I suspect this to be the culprit.
