Air vehicles in Arma 2

I like OFP & Arma series and Arma 2 it's very impresive but I'm very disappointed of the air vehicles. I have 505 version and patch 1,02,58064. Yes, the transport choppers and planes are good but the combat planes and choppers are very poor, only the AH-1Z, Ka-52, little Su-34 and LGB version of AV-8B are great.

Examples: The both Mi-24 has got weak cocpit. When I attack on enemy tanks they shoot sometimes from commander MG and I get killed. If I survived this I don't hit any tank because the AT missile doesn't work. They hit groud around 2 meters from tank and sometimes is it far. The choppers are good to destroy infantry but they doesn't destroy tank. Please fix it somebody.

What I don't like too is weaponry A-10 and Su-25. I think this planes is to destroy tanks but they almost haven't got AT missiles. In Armed Assault and OFP this planes was "tank killers" but no in Arma 2 .

What I don't get it is the function F-35. Why is it have 2 LGB bomb and 2 AIM-9. This is a universal plane ? And why is it have this armory, anyway the stealth technology isn't work.

I advise you to download F-16C addon because this plane have good armory like the AA, AT, LGB version, etc.

Maybe If there any order in editor to change weapons like addWeapon/addMagazine (soldier) but it works on planes please type it here with example how to use it, thank you

I assume they have to try and balance the game. If the load out on the A-10 is 4 x AGM Mavericks then it pretty much gives you 4 x guaranteed hits. The hydras are pretty useful if you know how to use them. And as stated, the GAU-8 is the primary weapon on the A-10. If you are skilled, you can take out pretty much anything with it.

And the sidewinders are there obviously to give the A-10 some A to A ability.

And ofc, it is possible to change the weapon loadout of everything, by script.

You can sucesfully attack MBTs in Mi-24 if you use the original tactis for this stoneage Attack Helicopters. Never hover, maintain more than 250km/h and use the guided missiles more like FFARs...the will hit only in a very narrow envelope and are not very manouverable...this reflects the fact the the Hind Missiles are manually wireguided by the WSO in reality.

oh we have fun with the planes -

I agree the F35 is rubbish - unless you make it a CAP capable aircraft with 8 sidewinders and 3 clipsof GAU12

The MV22 is more fun with guns and bombs

The basic Apache needs at least some Aim9's or it's toast

Adding Mk82's to the A10 and F35 also improves playability when there's no-one around to mark for you...
