Any tutorials in the works for Ambient Civs & Civ Vehicles?

I have an urban patrol script but it seems somewhat outdated now that I see all sorts of new things in the editor.

I'm trying to populate a town with civs and civ vehicles to increase the dynamics.

All you do is put the game logic in the editor. That easy.

Do you have to group or sync with a vehicle?

Still can't seem to get this to work.

I've placed the civ veh module in Cherno but no dice.

Sigh.. Are you expecting them to drive around cause if you are you have to code it yourself.

I don't think you do unless you want specific happenings...I put them both in and had civis driving around.

I got civs in a town, although they repeat themselves...Reminded me of The Happening.

I was waiting for them to start walking backwards.

...hmm...I suppose you could script that in.

With the default Civ Module & Civ Vehicles Module I barely find 1-2 civilians per village and they do absolutely nothing. The weird thing is that the large cities are completely empty, no civilians at all.

I just ran a test, I dropped in about 5 civ logics and a civ Vehicle one along with four animal logics.

The vehicles show up really well, I also got a few people but I didn't see any animals.

I tried again but this time I synced the people to the cars and put it on 4xspeed,one of the AI did get in and drive off follwed by a AI on foot running after him. I also followed and they ended up at the Airport. Also at the airport on the runway were all the cows.

It does seem bugged as sometimes the AI appear in doorways and die sometimes also I saw one run into a sealed building.

For the animal module i found out also that there is whole zoo's spawned at the airport:)

just put this into the civ module's init line:

this setVariable ["civilianCount","100"];
