Quick question guys about multiplayer and community.

Recommended Posts

How big is the Arma2 multiplayer community? And are co-op missions in multiplayer common? or is it usually team deathmatch?

Thanks

It isn't out yet, so we cant tell how big the MP community will be. But we do know that it supports pretty much any game mode made in the editor.

Easy forgiving coops such as Evolution, non-respawn coops, RPGs, CS like TDM, DM etc etc. Pretty much anything really, the variations are huge.

Well its not out yet, so the community size cannot be measured.

But you can guarantee this is mainly a co-op orientated game. Thats what makes it and always has (arma1/ofp etc).

The mapping, modding and co-op orientated spririt is what makes ARMA what it is.

Maybe the moderators can find out? In order to find some sort of number to the size of the community give or take, how many different user accounts posted in these forums since the last month, year, and 5 years?

there seem to be at least 5 big coop server every night. usually with between 20-50 people on it.

and this is german release only.

you ll find a few other playstyles too. TDM, CTI mainly.

for such a limited release the uptake seems very good.

however, it is no counterstrike or Cod, obviously.

the community itself is very helpful and open (albeit sometimes very uptight and forum nazi. some people take it way too seriously ;) )
