Baff1 0 Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) No offence mateys, but I have three screens and also high a res screen. It's harder to spot an enemy at 1024x768 than it is 3084x1024 or 2048x1600. Much harder. Head bobbing is not even a relevant issue. I also have a high res laser mouse and a five button mouse. This gives me a distinct advantage over people with ball mice or cheap 3 button mice. I have a HOTAS flight yoke and Track IR this gives me a significant advantage over people without. Head bobbing gives you a significant disadvantage in mulitplayer? I've never heard such utter nonsense. Edited April 24, 2009 by Baff1
Nigelwow 10 Posted April 24, 2009 head bobbing is a realistic thing (not too much) so why not?

sk3pt 0 Posted April 24, 2009 "Head movement" while sprinting should not be optional IMHO, and I hope there is a noticeable difference between walking, jogging and sprinting.
sic-disaster 311 Posted April 24, 2009 The headbobbing should be used for one thing only, in my honest opinion, and that is showing impacts. If you get hit, or if you are near an explosion, your body would most likely flinch, and a violent headbob could reflect this. It is done this way in Ghost Recon 1, and it made me jump out of my seat every time i heard the shot and the camera violently shook around because i realised i was in danger, and i was most likely going to die when the next shot comes. But it was immersive as well, because you 'felt' your body react to the impact. Headbobbing for running, as i said before, is something i look at as a cinematic effect only, and nothing else. I do a lot of running, i give people training in running as well, but the fact is that whatever your head does (unless it's headbanging ofcourse :P) your brain will stabilise the image and you will never really see the headbob at all. As for headbobbing being on or off giving people advantages, i can see the point there because when your screen is in constant motion it is harder to spot people. But as i said i really dont think that, looking at realism, it should be in for running in the first place. That would be the end of that discussion right there, too. Anyways, i will have to see which way of playing i prefer, having it on or off. I ofcourse am a person like anybody else and enjoy cool stuff, and the headbob is a pretty cool cinematic feature. But i also am someone who really loves realism in games, and because of that it might seriously annoy me as well. Time will tell. And it will be optional, so i will always have the choice. I would dislike servers who enforce it though.
Deadfast 43 Posted April 24, 2009 "Head movement" while sprinting should not be optional IMHO, and I hope there is a noticeable difference between walking, jogging and sprinting. It has to be - I know quite a few people who were getting motion sickness from playing Project Reality, where only a minimal camera movement was introduced.
