Takko 10 Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) Hello people, As soon as I had some free time, I immediately started making some Addons which are on Beta status right now. Its the Galil 5.54 Rifle, which I tryed to recreate. But not in normal pattern, no, in Digicam. This comes because I've played too much GRAW 2 and there was a rifle with that Camo. Also the Galil is not the Standard Version, it comes in a MF (Similar to Sopmod) fashion. I'm making it in Desert and normal colors too, but V1 of my pack, includes Digicam. Galil Galil S (Shortened Variant) Pictures feature the S and L version Old pictures deleted as I'm not starting with the digicam version anymore. echo1 0 Posted April 19, 2009 Are you making one in "normal colours" too?

MehMan 0 Posted April 19, 2009 Looks pretty shitty. The model looks okay, but the texture is definatley lacking detail and more metal look. It looks like the digicam was simply copy pasted all over the UVW map and that's it.
Takko 10 Posted April 19, 2009 Can you help me with the texture then?
SWT_Janowich 10 Posted April 19, 2009 Model is cool texture need s abit adjusting but no biggie
MehMan 0 Posted April 19, 2009 Can you help me with the texture then? Sure, I can give you a hand. I did come across like a jackass, but the model does look nice, you can see 3/4 of the detail just with the model, which is nice attention to detail, but the texture definatley needs more work. wipman 1 Posted April 19, 2009 Hi, those colours need to be flattened, equalized, make 'em have all the same tone and not those clear differences inside the same colour, something like this: SA-58 Carbine. Check the equality in the colours, there isn't any difference inside the same dirts of each colour; make a wasted/used texture should keep that shape aside of the wasted/busted areas, mainly the edges and those parts where you use to have the hands most of the time or movile parts that you use to operate with, for clean or whatever reason. Takko 10 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) I've had an interesting conversation with MehMan, he's a cool guy and showed me a couple of tricks on how to make a texture. I'm still in the making but I think its going to end up better than with the digi texture. Edit: Right now I tryed it in ArmA. Needs some adjust but overall its better. Spetz 0 Posted April 19, 2009 looks amazing, are you planning a scoped version of it?
Takko 10 Posted April 20, 2009 Hi, Which scope would fit?
sabre 244 Posted April 20, 2009 http://stores.gktradingco.com/Detail.bok?no=368 Put one of those on and let your imagination run wild, or some other Galil mount.
