-=anders=- 0 Posted February 19, 2009 Hi all! Im having some problems with a PBO file that only works with CPBO for some reason. But something has happened with my CPBO program. When right clicking in the PBO -file theres nothing that says anything about extracting with cpbo. And when I run the CPBO.exe I get this message when it ask me to associate cpbo with PBO files and directories: "PBO association failed! Done." What is wrong? And what can I do. Can I reset something in regedit perhaps? If my memory isn't messing with me, I think this happened when I opened a PBO file with a wrong program by mistake. And after that there was no right-click-menu showing anything with cpbo extraction. Plz help me! This is frustrating...

Synide 0 Posted February 19, 2009 open a text editor. copy and paste the text from the at the bottom of this post into the text editor.alter the 3 occurences of text that looks like I:\\tools\\ to the correct path on your machine for cpbo.exe. NOTE: Those are double-forward-slashs.save the text file as say cpbo.reg on your desktop.goto your desktop and double-left-click on the file to run it.windows will give you a warning about modifying your registry, just accept it.go and try your right-click context menu in windows explorer on a .pbo.if it still does not work, then open regedit and navigate to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pbo] key in your registry.Make sure there is no default value set. That is, the data for (default) should be (value not set).Hit the F5 key on your keyboard and then go try the right-click context menu again.good luck.<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\create PBO][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\create PBO\command]@="\"I:\\tools\\cpbo.exe\" -p \"%1\""[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pbo][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pbo\DefaultIcon]@="I:\\tools\\cpbo.exe,0"[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pbo\shell][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pbo\shell\extract][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pbo\shell\extract\command]@="\"I:\\tools\\cpbo.exe\" -e \"%1\""
topas 1 Posted February 25, 2009 Hi guys @-=anders=- Is this considered to be fixed? I have the exactly same problem here.. Followed every step as suggested by Synide, yet no effect -> after right clicking on a folder I get "create pbo" option, but after r-clicking on a .pbo there's no 'extract'... Seems it works only one way...
