Hey CK what version of this mod was you using? The only reason i am asking is that is their a difference apart from colour between Autum low plants and Standard Lowplants. (yes i know they both have durgs vegitation fix in em) Like i explained in my previous post these Autum Lowplants are brilliant for hiding the player!

Cheers for the link Q. Can't seem to get this mod to work tho. Am i right in thinking i place the "PROPER_plants_standard_textures.pbo" file in Arma\@PROPER\Addons folder then just add @PROPER to my list of mods (In my case D:\ArmA\arma.exe -mod=DBE1;@CSM;@ArmAEffects;@Proper; -nosplash)?

and do i do this along with the other two files (bisign and bikey)? i tried with and without to no avail. And what do these other two file types do? sorry for all the questions, i'm not so clued up on the modding world.

the answer to my problems may lie in the fact that i couldn't lowplants to work either after my recent reinstallation of windows - which brought me to your mod.

any help much appreciated.

Well,i think you should put -nosplash before any mods and no ; after last mod.

-nosplash can be anywhere. doesnt matter.

looks good though. you could try to use same case sensitivity

for @PROPER.

yet more important for what reason you judge that it doesnt work?

When using the lowplant-version, my FPS drops with around 12-15. sad_o.gif

Wasn't the lowplants supposed to make rendering the game quicker?

My hardware is A64 X2 3800+, 1 GB DDR2, 8800GT and ArmA v.1.14.

I played this with QG in united Sahrani and Porto, but I guess those islands are not affected by this mod, am I correct?

This is very unlikely to happen. Very very likely it was caused

by some other addon.

Well without more details not more can be said anyway.

Not sure. Depends if they use any model from the plants.pbo.

Actually I think I can remember that Porto's trees will have

different textures, so Porto uses plants.pbo vegetation.

Why not try and share the result. wink_o.gif

I'm currently playing small island close to porto and this mod doesn't work there,though bushes look the same as other islands. huh.gif

Edit:it doesn't work on porto also.

Erm... what details would that be Q?

my pc is old P4 3.0ghz, 3gb ram, 512mb ATI HD2600XT AGP.

shader setting is set to very high. But in Sahrani it doesnt matter because I assume the mod will remove the shaders from the plants. But when I try at United Sahrani, noticeable lag occured, so I reset my shader setting to low for it to be playable.

Is this the kind of details you need?

I'm using this:PROPER_plants_standard_textures_with_lowplants

arma 1.15.

Works on other islands.

Ok. Porto has three additional custom vegetation:

ca\desert2\data\plant\bush1.p3d

Yet the rest is standard arma plants.pbo

ca\plants\banana_3.p3d

ca\plants\koprivy.p3d

ca\plants\oliva.p3d

ca\plants\palm_01.p3d

ca\plants\palm_02.p3d

ca\plants\palm_03.p3d

ca\plants\palm_04.p3d

ca\plants\palm_08small.p3d

ca\plants\palm_09.p3d

ca\plants\str_fikovnik.p3d

ca\plants\str_fikovnik2.p3d

ca\plants\str_fikovnik_ker.p3d

As you can see the trees are recolored.

Regarding FPS. You have to keep in mind that shaders for

everything else is still applied.

So grass, units and objects may cause the FPS drop alone.

You would need to check your FPS with and without it and

NOT with it very low vs very high shaders.

Your card is probably maxed out with textures on very high

and cannot flush them well.

Why go for very high anyway? Low vs very low is the most

important step.

You can try my other shader removal or grass removal addons

to get more FPS with higher shader settings.

Other than that you need explain what does not work on Porto

and US.
