The islands are still OFP WRP format for technical restrictions. In addition we are still looking for your feedback what ground texture you think suits best to each of the islands. The beta 4 changes the default texture of all to a good looking grass texture. Finally you still want to get more updates before a final version. <span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'>Summary</span> <ul>[*]OFP:CWC and OFP:Resistance islands in ArmA: <ul>[*]Everon [*]Malden [*]Kolgujev [*]Nogova [*]OFP World [*]No dependencies. You can load them with any other addon or MOD. [*]Tested in MP / dedicated server. [*]VerifySignatures key and bisign files. [*]Replaced all possible objects/buildings with an ArmA counterpart. [*]Single ground texture technology - several to choose from via client side config. You can assign each island a texture individually now. [*]You can force the default texture by only allowing the 'ace_island_rvmat.pbo' on your server instead of the 'ace_island_rvmat_dta.pbo' (default). [*]Replaced the vegetation with OFP:Resistance vegetation. [*]SAT texture technology support. [*]ArmA clutters (especially via PROPER World - see more info below). <span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'>PROPER World combination</span> You are recommended to install the PROPER World project as well. There are at least two good reasons for that: 1) You get clutter / grass for every ground texture. 2) With default settings you get the great island settings by Sgt. Ace. Very nice unused semi transparent BI grass, grass is drawn way larger and less compact as well as nice ground texture composition. Deal eh - for sure. Especially here you can see the massive friendly forces going for the sectors. Each marker is a separate group! It just a massive fight with amazing DAC AI. {USI}_Zombie 0 Posted November 10, 2008 absolutely beautiful work!  Still exploring, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary so far.  Couldn't get custom textures to work though.  I followed these directions: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">HowTo get custom ground textures for each island (part 1) 1. Copy the userconfig folders from @ACE-Islands\Optional\dta into the .\ArmA\dta. 2. Copy the ace_island_rvmat_dta.pbo from @ACE-Islands\Optional to .\ArmA\@ACE-Islands\addons. 3. Go to .\ArmA\@ACE-Islands\addons. 4. Rename the ace_island_rvmat.pbo to ace_island_rvmat.pbobk 5. To revert to the preset textures simply revert the rename action. [edit]HowTo switch ground textures (part 2) 1. Go to .\ArmA\Dta\userconfig. 2. Open the ace_island_select_texture.hpp file with a text editor. You can chose the texture you want to test. 3. At the very end you have the list of available textures. 4. Replace the UPPERCASE string, like ARMA_BLATO, with a new one for the desired island but get an error that the  ace_island_rvmat.pbo  couldn't be located.  Is there another file to be changed? Â In short if you unpack both the @ace_islands and the dta folder in your .\ArmA folder, you only need to configure the different textures. So for custom textures: * ace_island_rvmat.pbo must be in @ace_islands * ace_island_rvmat_dta.pbo must be in @ace_islands\addons (default setup) More details how to change the ground textures can be found on the update wiki site: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ACE:IslandPack#Installation Also you will find an overview of the default setup there now. Also you say extract the dta folder to your arma folder? arma folder or arma/dta folder? Sorry for the noobness-am sober! Never had any probs getting older versions to work! Especially these two: 1. ace_island_rvmat.pbo in .\ArmA\@ace_islands 2. ace_island_rvmat_dta.pbo in .\ArmA\@ace_islands\addons PS: Point 5 of the guide still had a naming issue. This is the correct text: Quote[/b] ]5. Move the ace_island_rvmat_dta.pbo and the ace_island_rvmat.pbo.ACEIslandPackXXX.bisign to .\ArmA\@ace_islands (one folder higher). ck-claw 1 Posted November 10, 2008 Ah that sorted it mate!  Like earlier versions i just had the dta stuff in the arma/dta folder. Not inside the 'userconfig' folder within the arma/dta folder  Btw there is a 'userconfig' folder with 'Proper_World' mod How would i intergrate both? Its due to the fact that these are based on OFP island format. It seems ArmA doesn't like this format much. Probably as terrain and object streaming isn't support well or at all with it. So high viewdistance + many objects on an island + especially 4x speed accel lead to crashes almost all the time. Only way to solve is to get them to ArmA island format. Weather and water can be seen in the main menu anyway or a little bit modified island intro mission. @{USI}_Zombie Did you check the winter Cain of CWR? Check it out. 2) Updated the link on the BIKI site to with a download of the whole pack that now includes also the keys and sign files. 3) If you already have beta 4, you don't need to download this again. Instead the BIKI pages offers separate DL of the keys and sign files. 4) You can now download the ACE Island Pack via the OAC YomaTools server.
