GIJOE94 0 Posted September 12, 2008 Hi all following the release of the newest game Mercenaries 2 world in flames out on sony ps3 and microsoft xbox360 I have come up with a new mod Idea. Before you say "Here we go again" let me tell you what it's about. Well I've spent alot of time planning this the past 2 weeks and I've decided to base it on the same plot of the originals: Country is at war, lost of factions, mercs seeking cash, you know how it goes. Now modelers and texturers making from soldiers to helicopters are required. As you know my other modeling attemps where most unsuccesful. Anyway, lets get to the facts. I've come up with this: NAME: Arma Mercenaries Set: Venezuela 2008 Factions: Mercs (You and others), U.S. Army, Venezuelan goverment troops, Venezuelan gurrilars and Venezuelan Drug cartels. As you can see I've stuck to a main subject. Plot: Venezuela 2008, Drug barons and gurillars have taken over venezuela. The U.S. goverment has been asked to help and of corse mercs are snooping in after cash. You are James Talken, a U.S. ex soldier who joined the mercenaries in hope of earning some extra cash. They're all interested in 1 job finding and killing the drug cartel leader Jose Pandero. The prize $3,000,000! In case anyone gets offended or thinks I have copywrited I have come up with plan B, the same but set in mexico. I have a list of things required by the modelers including detail and photographs. The game will be one big mission, as a freeplay allowing you to do as you please. As an experianced mission maker creating this will be my part as well as providing information, photographs and resources for evryone else. Island makers also required. Well if your interested post here or send me a PM.

Deathstruck 375 Posted September 12, 2008 ...sounds like a "cool" idea...but yet I guess it's another "Oh yeh teh is soo c00l, we should make it, super RPG, great cash'n'weaps who will make it for me?" Oh c'mon, there are pletora of addons like that . Campaign or mission would be more suitable
merlin 17 Posted September 12, 2008 whats wrong with sahrani? if any war were to have a good amount private contractors it would be over a small island, where a large military force would just be overkill.
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Plot: Venezuela 2008, Drug barons and gurillars have taken over venezuela. The U.S. goverment has been asked to help I hardly think that Venezuela is going to ask the USA for help! You could just as well do your campaign on a fictional island and avoid incongruities like this.

GIJOE94 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Well guys if you think any changes should be made send me a message with them and I'll change them. So you think it be better a campaign not free play and set in columbia not venezeula.
Kristian 47 Posted September 13, 2008 yup, its agai one "oooh dear here we go again", ok, what will you do yourself? it sounds nice, but just giving nice idea, doesnt mean it starts a mod, wich you will "lead"
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 13, 2008 [...] set in columbia not venezeula. On a fictional island, not a real one (and it's Colombia, not Columbia, BTW ). That way you can get to use your creativity and imagination a lot more.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted September 13, 2008 So, it's a fictional mod based on the fictional island of Columbia. where fictional = doesnt/wont exist Got it.
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Yeah, then he could say "it's Columbia, not Colombia!"
