Anyone tried eRepublik?

This post serves two purposes:

1.  To see if anyone here has tried the browser-based nation-simulator "eRepublik".  I have just started it as I am deployed overseas, sick of books, and in desperate need of an online time-sink.

2.  To shamelessly plug the fact that I have 5 invites to the eRepublic beta and will send them out if you PM me an email address-- the alternative being that you wait in a queue for the developers to let in more testers. (oh yes.. I get in-game money for anyone who signs up woohoo!

I honestly don't know if this "game" will be any good or not, but I've definitely got the time to test it out  

If anyone has had any experience with this game or any similar ones please post here.  My bandwidth can't handle anything but these dumb browser games so if you know any good ones please let me know!

Looks an interesting effort, I subscribed and will wait to see if I get in on the act.

I remember the Browser based game Planetarium when that started and it developed into a huge game with hundreds of thousands of people.

Will always remember Urban Dead a nice fun (at least for a time as there were sadly too many exploits that were ruining the mood) game browser about a city full of zombies and survivors.

I've been playing it for 7 months. Plus if your Australian. We need more people to sign up. Australia is a little under populated.

I just registered. It's a shame with all the bonuses for subscribers and that you have to wait so long before you can do anything fun, but it's a solid game idea.
