laggy 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Hi all. Intel core duo (2*3ghz) 3 gb ram Nvidia 8800 GTX (768MB) Windows Vista 32 Patch 1.09Beta and everything before that ran excellent. Except for occasional crashes (probably the virtual adress problem) I could pretty much put as many units as I wanted on the map (20 groups including 4 helicopters in Corazol) with highest settings on everything and have a viewdistance of 3000m. No lag or stutter what so ever. With patch 1.14 i experience a terrible performance drop. Some of my old missions are now unplayable and even smaller missions lag and stutter. I tried updating to latest Nvidia drivers (175.16) but that didn't help either. Does anybody have any ideas or similar problems? Laggy

BigRed 2 Posted May 22, 2008 Yes but if that don't work out the 175.70 beta ones are out at Guru 3d
laggy 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Thanks alot BigRed. Vista Service Pack 1 seems to have done the trick. Everything now seems to be back to "normal". Much obliged to your tip in this damn PC updating jungle. Cheers Laggy
Mr_Tea 0 Posted May 22, 2008 On new Microsoft OS´s, the first SP is a must have asap. If any game would run that great under Vista Home Premium than ArmA, i would not need Win2K Prof. any longer.
mrcash2009 0 Posted May 23, 2008 I have to admit SP1 in vista made it so much smoother that I now only play in Vista (where i used to use my dual boot xp install only as it ran better).
law-giver 190 Posted May 23, 2008 Quote[/b] ]I have to admit SP1 in vista made it so much smoother that I now only play in Vista (where i used to use my dual boot xp install only as it ran better). I have to agree with mrcash, i have Vista Home Premium SP1 x64 and it runs just as good, if not better than my XP Pro x64 on dual boot. And i hate Vista, but i'm slowly coming round to it. Â Running 175.16 on Vista x64 and 169.21 on XP x64 as the 175.16 on XP x64 gave me some trippy display issues. I thought my card was overheating....Asus 8800GTX. Works a charm after rolling back to 169.21 on XP x64. Â
BigRed 2 Posted May 24, 2008 I am currently testing 175.70 and they seem to very stable for ArmA so far I played a 5 hour CTI with no problems.
=ACU=Tech 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Well well well! I must admit I had given up on this game, but this 1.14 patch changed everything for me! Running Vista x64 SP1 w/ 4Gb of RAM now makes the game soooo smooth I can't believe it yet. My specs are in my sig, Config 1, using a 8800GTX and the game has never run better. It's like I just got myself a brand new pc! Kudos to BIS for this long awaited patch!
