ricnunes 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Besides the problem that I have when connecting to a dedicated server that I created and which I already reported in an another thread I have to report two more bugs/issues that I noticed and have with version 1.11: 1- This one is more than an issue than a bug -> The enemy AIs while having a good spoting detection (not being too exagerated nor too dumb - The best AI spoting detection of all versions) I noticed that the enemy AIs are extremelly precise again which means that they rarelly miss the first shot! I find this to be worse than it was in 1.09, which was the version that while still far from perfect, was the best in terms of AI accuracy (or the lack of it). When the AIs fail the first shot normally the other bullets disperse considerably but what pisses me is that the first shot from enemy AIs rarelly miss and this is also true even when the player is running/strinting!! From what I see the enemy AI when firing is extremelly precise in the first shot and then it looses precision. I think this is a quite wrong "theory" since in reality it's usually the opposite, being that the inicial shots are usually less precise (have a VERY LOW accuracy) and next ones a bit more precise since firing corrections are usually made! Resuming, I would like to see AI soldiers (even snipers to a lesser extend) to be MUCH LESS precise during the inicial shots and being a bit more precise in the following ones rather than the current extremelly (and exagerated) precise inicial shot and less precise in the following ones! This not only improves realism but also improves gameplay in which becomes easier for the player to survive (and without reducing realism but rather improving it) and makes the game more thrilling by adding real (and long) firefights, a thing which is almost missing in ArmA since the firefights in ArmA are always extremelly short in duration because of the extremely high precision from the AIs (specially the enemy ones) which means that most of the bullets find their target reducing obviously the firefight time! 2- I notice that in the Co-Op stock mission "Clean Sweep" that the evacuation helicopter when arrives never lands therefore it's impossible to sucessfully end the mission. A search would have given you the solution to your first problem, a.i. skill and precision can be easily edited in your profile folder, open the ARMAPROFILE file with notepad and tone down a.i. precision.. find class Difficulties and play with these: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> skillFriendly=0.850000; skillEnemy=0.600000; precisionFriendly=0.850000; precisionEnemy=0.450000; Servers can do the same, afaik most do. By the way, where are these values changed for a Dedicated Server? Kinda doubt that is done the the same place, am I right? Regarding number 2, the point is not if the mission is boring or not, but it's about a potencially very big bug which happens in this mission which can also affect many other missions which have helicopter evacuation. [TAO]Kremator Yes, I saw your reply in the other thread and it solved my problem. Thanks very much for your reply! Nevertheless I see this as a temporary solution as this solution while working good isn't very pratical (you should be able to access and play in a ArmA server using only the ArmA online server browser).
