What's the worst it related stunt you've done?

My highschool had 6 computer rooms all networked, but each containing a different set of computers (Ie. 1 room had Pentium 200's.. one, 133's.. one 486's. etc.)

Now, the security program used on the network started via a command line in the Autoexec.bat. Which we discovered, and using the handy F8 key on bootup, disabled this particular line.. We then filled the network drive (hiding them under various directories) with games and Mp3's, much to the enjoyment of almost everyone who used the computers. Quake and Doom 2 battles became common place, with the teachers unable to find the location of these games, as no student had write access to F drive (thanks to the security program)

Unfortunatley we were backstabbed by one student, and had our computer rights removed until we wrote a letter of apology, and listed each of the things we had done, and how we had done them.

Needless to say we didn't mention 'everything' and the next year, after we had graduated, one of the lower grade students gave himself Admin access and wiped out the entire network, causing complete chaos.

my favorite thing to do in "computer lab" was harass the teacher with the cd-rom drive..

all the PC towers were located in a cluster at the front of the room (so we souldent fuck with em) right behind where the teacher stood..

well I discovered (this is like 7th grade) that I could open the CD-rom from my computer.. and since the computer's were all packed together and without lables.. the teacher couldent figure out it was me..

so several times per class she would be talking and suddenly one of the Towers would pop out its CD-rom drive just as she turned her back.. and then before she turned around it would go back in.. oc coourse the rest of the class saw this and would roar with laughter (hey, we were kids)..

I never got caught either.

When i was in high school me and a mate once nicked all the IDE cables out of the teachers PC (we played pranks on him allot and he often returned the favor) and left him a bag of IDE cable shaped licorash(got no clue how to spell that). Not hilarious but fun none the less ahh man come on u should have been there ......

When I went to uni our student dorm was connected to the school, so we had access to certain parts of the school 24/7. Some of the computers, for one. At that time a program we can call N B was released. It let you watch other computers, control their keyboards, open the CD, take screendumps etc. It was password protected to and installed itself via simple games or other programs. So we sent those install games to other students and used it on school computers. Then we password protected the computers so only we could access them.

Then we'd sit back and watch the other people, messed with them with opening their CD's, typing in URL's, starting programs etc. They usually came to our rooms and asked us if they could get help with their computers that were acting up...real nice way to meet girls... Anyway, after a while it died down and wasn't so fun anymore. I uninstalled the server application and forgot about it. Later I heard from one of my friends that he had found a guy hosting a pedophile FTP on his computer, through using the N B. So my friend had used the pedophiles own email prog to mail the cops and ratted him out that way. Perdy sweet

Every once in awhile you can get someone with that.

That and the infamous superlife cheat in OFP that few know about....
