situation report

------------------------

CIA paramilitary units are engaged in covert operations to arm and train the enemys of our people.

We have secured the location of a clandestine airfield which the CIA are using as a foward operating base. Scores of weapons are being distributed to enemy fighters via this base with regular flights leaving for various RACS bases on the mainland.

Local intel agents have noticed a pattern in these flights and command elements have proposed an operation to hijack one of these aircraft and use it as a trojan horse to enter the main RACS airfield and launch an operation to destroy enemy air assests on the ground ..

Excellent mission here, a great new concept with the whole 'Trojan Horse' scene.

Stealth is the name of the game for the first part until the destruction of the radio tower, then all holy hell breaks loose! barricade yourselves into the sandbags and wipe out the onslaught of troops whilst making sure to kill the pilot - after all you're gonna nick his UH-60 as the trojan horse.

Some nice door gunning action on the sympathisers, keep your eyes peeled for armour though. crazy_o.gif

Very difficult to take over the enemy airfield with a run and gun attitude, you'll need to hold back and pick your targets carefully....if the Harriers take off......

Look out for secondary objectives.....

We played your mission today at our NoPryl server. First we used the normal addon layout, result the revive script did not work.

We disabled all the server addons, same result. My addon at the moment was QG, Beta, FDF_sound and  Mapfact. Are you using norrins newest review script, or ....?

Else the mission seems promising, but there may be some JIP script error also. If you disconnect and log in, using another slot, it seems to mess up a bit. Normaly you dont do that, but when revive dont work it is tempting.

Edit: Forgot to tell, in 2 of 10 times, the radiotower did not spawn.

Edit: Forgot to tell, in 2 of 10 times, the radiotower did not spawn.

Sometimes the tower is randomly placed to the other side of the island smile_o.gif

how didnt the revive work ?  did you receive an option to revive or were you unable to move after revive, im using the latest  version of norrins revive (108 friendly ) .. also the tower will start in one of two locations .. the jip script should

position you next to group leader if on foot or in cargo with the group leader if he is in transport .. or if there are no cargo slots left you should start at a  safe point  ...

i have no idea what happened when you tried to play ..

the only animations used are within the capture script and during testing (v108)  all seemed to work fine ..

has anybody else encountered this problem ??

my mistake in releasing before a final test after updating revive script  (always been impatiant ).

guys i really appreciate the feedback and youre paitence .. for a budding mission maker like myself it is priceless

With JIP not working there was two thing I noticed

1. Revive script error when entering (after you first was dead)

2. Enemy chopper reinforcment arrive also when radio mast is taken down before they send distress signal. Happen also when we prevent the UH60 to take off<-- after sec tought this may not be related to JIP.

2 placement of tower - ok we did not look for the second place. All the next to tower structure was in place, only the tower was missing, my fault.   smile_o.gif

this problem you are having connecting is new to me  

id like to remove it before v2 is posted ( still without main pc)

We're using a linux server in the latest version.

Installed addons are:

And I found two other maps which have the same problems on our server:

The same error as your map.

Edit: Those two maps are also revive missions.

I played with Batstat.

I can confirm the Revive error when JIP. No error on ordenary start.

We started with @XEH;@TrueRangeAI;@Mapfact;@VFAI;DBE1;beta, but ended up with just DBE1;beta.

We use windows server, latest beta 1.09 patch allways the same problems.

If you just had mentioned the tower, we woulden't thougt of it as an error. So maybe fix info?

We liked the consept. One of our members thought is was cool that AI started inside buildings. Since the battlefield looks quite when we start.

Looking forward for update...

mission is fixed however my main pc remains off line

so i cant check it out before posting ... an engineer is due to call tonight and hopefully fix my rig ...

Hi i0n0s ...

its gotta be a conflict  caused by an addon you are using or an issue with 109 beta patch,  mission has only been tested on 108 server. Dont know what else it could be. No simillar problems repoted  by any reality friends  or any  others who downloaded ..

sorry about this mate  

i will install  the addons  you use on server  and try and fix the problem .. will e mail you a hopefully fixed version

Thanks for the 1f version.

Revive works like charm. Mission is fun.

Just some bugs.

#1 - We got the report that phase 2 was complete, but it wasn't checked in briefing.

#2 - 1 CIA agent died when I took him as a prisoner.

Else, we just got to the phase 3 so we don't know about the rest.

did you manage to escape the first island in the blackhawk?

the briefing for phase three will apear  alongside the radio message as soon as you are all in the blackhawk  but  phase two will not tick untill you are free from the CIA airbase s  airspace ...

also could  the agent not of caught a stray round .. or did he die upon joining your group ??

if so it is a new one  will investigate

i installed  the addons you use on server  and tried to load mission  ..  i encountered  no problems  .. played  right through .. you say you also have the same  with co5 silva   this is a beta mission  of mine   .. i tried  to play  with your server addons  installed  and again   no probs  ..  

dont understand  how the issues are caused

anybody else  get the same errors as  i0n0s

or any thoughts on WHAT might be causing the problem for him ...

Oki, we tested it again right now.

We got both CIA agents out, but AI isn't very smart, so one of them had to be punished... pistols.gif

But since we got one left, we took the BH to camp and both trigger and marker ticked OK. So this time we didn't have that problem. Could be just server related....

We now finished the mission, but didn't take out any traitors.

All worked like charm.

We where 7 people and all think we can play this one again.

And last time the CIA agent died when he joined my group.

lol ... that would make things to easy ... did you find and complete the hidden objective at the airfield? ... pleased you enjoyed .. with any luck the mission should play differently everytime you play it .. nothing to major but a few slight changes to keep the player on his toes ...
