opteryx 1562 Posted January 27, 2008 Hi all, I found a cool KMZ addon for Google Earth. What it basically does is allow you to download 90 m res SRTM data of areas you're looking at in Google Earth. Just download THIS file and open it in GE, now you'll see the the earth divided in several quadrants. Just click on the green icon on in the middle of a quadrant and a text box pops up, scroll down and you'll get some download links of the data available in ARCASCII or GEOTIFF format. There's nothing new and special about this data as it can be found on many different sites, but it makes it easier for you to select your data.

hypno toad 0 Posted February 17, 2008 This serves the same function as my tutorial.. DL's from the same place too, and dl's the same data. I guess it works if you are trying to figure out where the area is.
