Problem: bulldozer, "wait for host"

Recommended Posts

Some of you might have read my thread about my last problem, where the "shaders are not valid"

I fixed that one by reinstalling my BI tools.

Now I am having this problem, bulldozer comes up, and sits there at a loading screen that says: "wait for host"

The loading bar goes up, and then back down. Over and over.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I am relatively new to the whole armed assault engine and I have to say:

When you guys say a one word phrase like that, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Hmm have you tried uninstalling the tools, cleaning your registry with something like CCleaner then reinstalling?

Don't know if it'll help, but might be worth a try.

Although not your exact problem, I've had some odd problems with Bulldozer which I have solved by deleting all the files in the data/layers folder and then reimport satellite and mask files.

Peerguardian, third party software, will block gamespy ip's.

But if u dont know its not your problem.

Other thing tho, is it the first time after import of sat and mask pic you start bulldozer ?

If so, the first time it convert all created data(png's and Rvmat files) to the right format for arma, this CAN take a very long time!!!

For me 400Mb sat pic and mask the conversion took about 45 minutes (thats why i do it manually now, just 2 minutes).

Later,

Allie

I just re-installed arma (with the new retail copy), I started a new map, did not import anything, and said run bulldozer, and that is when I get the problem.

I didn't used to get that problem.

Did you uninstall the tools, clean your registry and reinstall like suggested?
