Looking for helicopter tow script

Searched everywhere but where the info. is at. I'm looking for a helicopter towing script so that we may airlift vehicles with the Blackhawk on some maps.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Very surprised to only see one reply here and only a simple script at that.

If there are any more (even OFP) cargo airlift with rope/cable scripts around, please provide a link. I've read so much on this topic, but can't find a complete version around.

It's a rather nice setup and easy to use, but I found it to have a few problems and wasn't MP dedicated server capable.

Some nice features: MP request dialog, acceleration physics

It would not take much to fix it, but requires a 2 player testing environment, which I don't have.

2 . Falseprophet's fx mod has a vehicle transport script in it. Edit: Based on Xeno's old airlift script.

Easy to use. It has a few bugs and becomes an infinite loop after activating. Easy to fix.

3. Xeno's mission "Domination" has an airlift script in it. See x_helilift.sqf

4. Some of the "crCTI" missions have an airlift script in them (called "tug" or "tow").

5. Many others with simple variations.

6. I've combined the best parts of the above to get a basic cargo airlift with rope and physics working. (see ropes in images)

- It uses T_D's vector, physics and rope functions, combined with Armatec's physics code.

- Modified version of Falseprophet's airlift script, with better hints and status/position detection, animated cable extending/retracting, etc.

- Still working on it now. Particle cable flashes sometimes. Cable not visible in MP yet.

- IRL, does anyone know whether the rope would get attached to the cargo or to the chopper or either?

- Would love to add the physics seen in the VBS1 cargo airlift video loadmaster_high.wmv. Mainly the slack chain concept.

Falseprophet is using an older (buggy) version of my chopper script that you can find in Domination.

- Still working on it now. Particle cable flashes sometimes. Cable not visible in MP yet.

I hope you can get this working in MP. But I guess the problem is that the position of the attached vehicle is not exactly the same under the transport chopper during flight, mainly caused by lags (that is why I didn't put much effort in a rope effect, it doesn't look good if the rope suddenly is about 100 m long smile_o.gif).

And, the transport script itself is only run on the pilot client so you would have to run a particle script on each connected client.

I actually used your script Xeno from "domination" and applied it to this map for SG Smokintodd
