andersson 285 Posted December 23, 2007 Are they "just" ported or do they have all the normal maps etc for arma?
mr burns 132 Posted December 23, 2007 No normal maps, sorry. But they look good enough w/o it imho. Door animation on MG Pillbox 3 isn´t working either .. it´s really just "ported".

Stavanger 0 Posted December 23, 2007 Mirror by Combat-Prison.net OFP in ArmA Object Pack 001 v1.0 converted by Mr_Burns (RAR File, 2.09 MB) Regards, Stavanger
mr burns 132 Posted December 23, 2007 I hope with permission? I sensed someone would open that box .. Okay, here goes my master plan: Since contacting the original authors is most likely impossible, i´ve just included the original readme files with the following statements: Quote[/b] ]A.W.O.L.You may use this bunker just give me credit,if u want to modify it then please contact me. . . Quote[/b] ]GFX707You are free to use and distribute this addon with your missions as long as you credit the maker (GFX707) and give a link to http://www.fortress-ofp.com in a readme or on your site. As you can see, we´ve got some loopholes making the port possible w/o asking for permissions. As i didn´t do any real changes to the modells and textures - it should not be seen as modified. Well for GFX707 bunkers i should´ve done a mission in order to comply with the legal notice - but be assured you would´nt want to play that mission (one bunker placed on empty map). Hopefully im not the only one to understand my reasoning. @Stavanger: Thx edit: But pls don´t mark it as Mr.Burns addon - it´s the work of other people. I just put it into ArmA. -(DeltaForce)- Delta General 0 Posted December 24, 2007 hey really nice bunkers but the large bunker you can't get in to. It stops you at door and i had to use a training ramp to get in then when i was in i got up to second floor and could not get up to third floor. its was like an invincible wall or something. and the ramps are the same. But besides that amazing objects
bonko the sane 2 Posted December 24, 2007 these pillboxes were one of my favorite addons in OFP, thak you Mr. Burns for porting and releasing to Arma, and the original authors.
Shashman 0 Posted December 24, 2007 Great stuff! Those pillboxes bring back some great memories!
Dan ick(uk) 0 Posted December 24, 2007 THANKS mate. Cant wait to use these All the best Dan
Thunnder Bunny 0 Posted December 25, 2007 Thanks for porting these Mr Burns, and thank you to the original authors. The only problems I have ,the large bunker is kinda hard to get in. The little pillbox with the door won't open. Any chance to port the other bunker packs made by theses guys? Even the early packs had some good bunkers. One even had a simple coastal gun. I'm making "Fortress Bandango" right now. Put the bunkers on top of the surrounding mountains armed with D30's, it's like fighting an evil dictator from an old video game
miles teg 1 Posted December 25, 2007 Thank you Mr. Burns. Â I knew GFX707 back when he was doing stuff for OFP and I'm sure he'd be pleased with your port. Â He disappeared from the OFP community a LOOOOOONG time ago and I remember that before doing so, he authorized other mods to further use and develop his work. Â Likewise Quakergamer did the same with his defunct OPGWC mod. The important thing is proper credit. Â Also these addons are important as they teach people like me how to port over buildings into ArmA (which my mod urgently needs to do as we have a ton of buildings including a beautiful custom mosque (that you can walk inside of) created for us by Chris Death and Calm Terror in OFP. Â EDIT- Ah crap.... never mind.... these objects are binarized. I was hoping I could use them as templates to figure out how to convert my mod's buildings into ArmA. oh well...I will keep looking for unbinzarized ported buildings. At any rate, these are good buildings for missions especially once they are fixed up. But because they are binzarized that makes it more difficult to fix them without seeking out the ancient OFP versions in the dark corners of OFP websites and converting them again ourselves. Thunnder Bunny 0 Posted December 26, 2007 Miles if you go to OFP.INFO / downloads / addons / Miscellaneous / page 7, 9,10,11,13, have various bunkers on them. Not sure about being binarized though. Even the most simplistic buildings from ofp are welcome. I'm not a graphics whore. So when it comes to something being useful, I tend to overlook the finer details such as textures. miles teg 1 Posted December 26, 2007 Oh no, I'm not worried about that. My mod (The Lost Brothers) has plenty of buildings in OFP. I just have to learn how to put them into ArmA. But from what I'm learning it looks like it'll be fairly easy. So hopefully in our next Lost Brothers Mod release, you'll see some nice Middle East type buildings.
