How can you do this after the discussion which arrised (spelling?) from the original release?

Rock has specifically stated he wants all mirrors to be removed and OFPEC clearly stated (or at least the guys responding in the topic) they dont want this to be published. And even if published it should be on their site.

This should be closed and links removed. You ignored the wishes of many people.

dude, honestly, what you doing? if i were mandoble i would give my lawyer a call. he clearly stated that he has a prob with this addon, not only cause of the name. releasing it again is first of all

inpolite and second a disrespect of the work of the creator, not to forget the legal issues. he made it, he said no. so its fuckig no.

A lawyer? For releasing a THIRD party mod for a GAME not LICENSED by that person? The lawyer would tell him laugh him out of his office. The only way he could sue is if he actually PAID for it to be copyrighted in his name, which he wouldn't be able to do since BIS owns all the rights to the game and I doubt that they'd let someone copy right a third party addon, especially when before this, before it was compiled into an addon, it was a bunch of scripts.

Now, I do believe that it is rude to not listen to the wishes of the original author.

I have read, that problem was with ROCKO ILS naming,

not with releasing this addon... So I decided to give this

addon a second chance and release it with changed name

(also changed file name), so it can be recognized as OFPEC work.

I have read that OFPEC isn't against releasing this addon,

but they want to be mentioned as authors of this script. So that

is what I'm doing...

Problem with ROCO_ILS was the name, now Its OFPEC ILS and

still problems with that? I have read in that old topic, that

OFPEC didn't forbid using their script, they just want to have

credits in this...

If I'm wrong... If OFPEC will not allow me to publish this, I can

understand this... But I think that all problem was with that

unhappy ROCKO_ILS.PBO name...

he wrote a script. no modell, nothing to do with bis. its only intended to use within a bis game. and to have copyright on your work only when you pay for it is really funny.

but you are right, it isnt a license agreement with the download. and i noticed that several people were involved, i thought it was mandoble alone.

and of course you were right in saying that it is rude

i think they realized that there is a wish for this addon, maybe waiting a week would have solved this issue anyway. also i know rocko talked to hoz before releasing it, so maybe this wasnt communicated clear to all others involved, and rocko is allowed to release it again.

I will explain the situation one more time, as it seems is was not clear enough after the first thread.

OFPEC ILS is a promotional resource for OFPEC site. We stated clearly it should not be redistributed, while you may include it in your addons and missions. Of course, as long as the addon itself is not just the ILS itself.

So now tell me what is that OFPEC ILS by ROCKO? Sorry guys, OFPEC ILS, in any form or color was made BY OFPEC, period.

We understand there might be some interest about having it in the addon form, and for this reason we were planning to contact Rocko to set up the basis of a collaboration work on it. But looking at his last post in the old thread it seems he might not be very interested.
