EDcase 87 Posted November 16, 2007 I think animation breakout in general is this addon's big breakthrough. I can see how breaking out of a running animation to a stopping animation can be possible, but I think this might need extra code.To break out of a change weapon animation to change to another weapon seems to be counter-intuitive at first I don't see how you would code it to be useful in an instant of panic. You still need to drop the current weapon, and you still need to get the other weapon out. Insta-change weapons will be a cheat. Plus, at what stage of the animation do you stop having the LAW as your weapon and start having the rifle? If you panic say three-quarters of the way through a change weapon animation, your current weapon might already be a rifle right? Just not up & ready just yet. If you panic and use a new "drop current weapon & grab another" function you might be compounding this even more. I wasn't thinking of instant change to rifle but a quick drop of the launcher (throw it to ground) and then use the normal rifle in hand anim (maybe a bit faster). Â Its just to avoid the time to put away the launcher. Â Its true that you don't want to do this all the time when changing weapon so it would have to be a specific option/button. Â Since I have no idea of coding I duno how that could work. Of course there is no throw or drop anim so its a silly idea I guess. Â (Perhaps to use the GEAR anim sped up?) I also vote for changing mag while walking and maybe running but not sprinting. Â This would make ARMA more fluid especially for CQB. Hopefully it'll be better in ARMA2... EDIT: Btw, there is a slow and a fast crawl, de default is the fast crawl but when you hold the sprint button you will crawl a bit slower (doesnt change much) and you wont get tired. There is also something which I dont understand why. I saw your example video from Q's Topic, and it shows that you can sprint sideways from crouch position. When I try, my soldier ALWAYS sprint first forward, THEN he goes sideways...its very annoying to look at and I wonder if you have fixed this problem, or is it going to be included in the upcoming update. btw...if the update has already been released, would you mind to give me a link?
