Mehmehmeh 0 Posted November 10, 2007 I have a feeling your hostile approach in your both posts will really help you to get replies. But no, there is no way... as far as I know.
DaSquade 0 Posted November 10, 2007 Mehmehmeh: I agee. So far for a welcome introduction . There is a simple sollution, for guys like you. Buy, rent, whatever...your own dedicated server. Add a welcome texts: All you m*** i*** who live not on my piece of earth or can't buy a decent connection line, F$$ O$$. -> . Hope you will enjoy your fix. Now a bit seriously, no expert but don't think you can block users with a certain ping. At least not automaticly (maybe you can). In case you don't run your own server, witch i dought or problem is to easy to fix, be friendly to the admin or become an admin and controle who comes in or doesn't. kklownboy 43 Posted November 10, 2007 we have guys with ping all over the place, 33 to 400 and there is no issue on the Evo server we play, i mean you do get the lame sync/netcode issue, but ping isnt a real issue. I see no diff from 30ms to 250ms. To be honest, i would say that Arma is the best at ping usage, but bad at the sync when people join the lil hitches ect. But when it settles down (seconds) its fine. We have a few on dial up and they do fine. Your looking at the wrong thang.
RN Escobar 0 Posted November 12, 2007 playing coops you won't have a problem with pings, since its player vs ai, the ai aren't gonna moan about a lag kill, and if a player complains then he is TKing anyway. becomes more of an issue in the PvP environment, a guy with a ping of 15 against a guy with a ping of 400 will lose in a reaction moment (e.g. rounding a corner) or at best it will be a double kill.
