General Lag 1 Posted February 22, 2002 Hey, you deffinitly got to see this movie, it's one of the "must see" movies. It attacks western civilisation, Beening moral member of the society and stuff like that. It provocates, and it gives you some thoughts. It's one of theses, "You love it or you hate it" movies. Gotta see!
nordin dk 0 Posted February 22, 2002 Turned off the tv and went to bed But it was a great film, I agree. One thing that changed my life (for a short while anyway) was the book “The Dice Man“ written by Luke Rhinehart. Read it, if you haven't already...
Wobble 1 Posted February 22, 2002 It attacks western civilisation it doesent attack western socity, it attacks socity in general.. to sum it up take a quote from the movie.. "why do we work in jobs we hate, to buy shit we dont need?" thats by far not a western thing, thats pretty much world wind unless you live in a poverty stricken are where the is no work and have to scrounge for food or something.. its all about getting back to the primal survival of the fittest thing, men be man and fuck everything else.. kinda like going back to the way th Indians, the abba... abor.. the black bush people of AUS... .etc etc.. its a really good movie.. its only second to Fear and Loaghing in Las Vegas.. foxer 0 Posted February 22, 2002 I thought it was funny when they had to go and get their as$ kicked.
Charlie_McSheenie 1 Posted February 22, 2002 I liked it although by the time brad pitt become edward norton it all got a bit confusing, the fights were cool though. I didn't like the fact it was just a film partly to show the directors or writers vast knowledge and intelligence of useful little tips (like building bombs from soap and all kinds of other things)
Wobble 1 Posted February 23, 2002 I liked how he sliced porn clips into family movies. and my favorate: "Tyler is involved in a class action suite against the mint hotel over the contents of their soup"
Chan 1 Posted February 23, 2002 *beep* Momma, what was that? Wahhhhhhhh!!!
Joe Porta 0 Posted February 23, 2002 The first rule of fight club is that you do not talk about fight club. The second rule of fight club IS YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB. Fight club is an exellent movie but the book is alot better. I prefer the ending in the book to the ending in the film and highly recommend the book if you enjoyed the film. 4ntifa 0 Posted February 24, 2002 A great movie. It's got a shitload more real content than 99,9% of Hollywood flicks. The movie made me consider starting doing martial arts. The point is that modern man has to hide his anger and aggressiveness, which can't be very healthy in the long run. I do that very much, since I'm a pacifist and a nice and calm guy (except when I get in the ranting mode when someone starts me up on politics). So it would be quite healthy to start boxing or something, to let some steam out in a healthy way. Well, I didn't have time for a new hobby. But I haven't gone berserk, so I propably can handle my negative feelings just fine.

Wobble 1 Posted February 24, 2002 So it would be quite healthy to start boxing or something, to let some steam out in a healthy way. my parents tried to get me into karate when I was 9.. I thought it would be fun but all they ever let the kids do (this is in the 80s) was hop around like frogs and shit.. i wanted to kick ass.. no flop around like an idiot.. after a year I quit.. then a few years ago I bought a heavybag and I now beat the piss out of it daily. Postduifje 0 Posted February 24, 2002 Fight club is indeed an exelent movie, great story. When I first read the title and saw the front of the movie-box, I thoughed: Ah, shite, another of those hollywood beat-'m-up crapmovies. But afterall, It was the opposite, great film! GrimCalavera 0 Posted February 24, 2002 Bob was so sweet guy. Made my eye wet when she, err he died. It was wrongly said though, that why do we work in crap jobs, to buy crap we don't need... who in here dare to claim that games (like OFP) aren't reason enough to work in crap jobs??
