efefia 0 Posted August 29, 2007 I tried the beta drivers and ended up rolling back to 162, was fine in ArmA but in other games with intense graphics requirements I found it the new drivers way too unstable.
mc sonar 0 Posted August 29, 2007 i have no v-ram overloads anymore in arma- i dont play other games so i dont know how other games run with the beta driver. for me evrything runs fine now even on high shader settings. i playd the game 3 houres without alt-tab and without slowdowns. the fog bug is still present but i think it will be fixed next time.... @oChaos.DNJ i dont know anything about this error and i never had this one

ArmaVidz 0 Posted August 30, 2007 I just installed the 163.44 drivers a couple days ago. Performance has gone through the roof. Roughly +10 FPS at least in most spots. Sadly, the HUD issue on planes has not been fixed. Not sure if that is the game or drivers or both, but it's still there. Sability is awesome. However, there is terrible LOD problems. When moving quickly from looking forward, to looking behind you, most of the units look like they're made from about 10-12 poly's. I still have to test it and check it out more. Post here if you find a fix for that please!
troop 0 Posted August 30, 2007 Bug is still present, if settings are cranked max. Try flying. This driver is definetely an huge step forward, especially for the 8800s (at least on my setup, nice performance boost) Still, V-Ram spills over very quick (~5 mins) if attempting max settings. (playing stable for hours on reduced settings) Hopefully, NVidia can fix those issues come September once and for all + fog removal as icing on the cake.
