zaphod 0 Posted August 16, 2007 use the emergency caddy release .... if there is a little hole under the caddy ... take a 5 cm long needle and release the caddy manually.
bravo 6 0 Posted August 16, 2007 use a clip, extend the clip and input it in that hole.. the "door" should open naturally.. as in manually

BraTTy 0 Posted August 17, 2007 I just want to comment on the quality of todays hardware. Hardware prices are at a all time low ('cept video cards and latest cpus) My laptop DVDRW first stopped burning and now it wont even read a disc anymore. Few weeks ago I bought a decent external DVDRW and it last for 2 weeks and 15 dvd's burned.I got a replacement but I am worried (will it last a month?) Prolly will die a day or two off of warranty.I paid 100$ (minus some coupons and it prolly cost them 10-15$ to make. Why can't they spend 20$ to make a real nice one that will last. I bought DVDROM's when they first came out, they are all dead and only had to read cd's and dvd's Back in the day, I'd buy a cd burner and burn 1000's of cd's (I still have some old cd burners) I have a pile of dead hard drives (some maybe still under warranty but I don't bother (no receipt etc...) I know the higher drive speeds and such is part to blame. I have a dead 6600gt which isn't very old compared to the tnt2ultra I had to install to get the computer to work again (10 years old?) I have had to replace the fans on the tnt2 a few times even Bring back reliability !!!!
Bob.Moore 0 Posted August 19, 2007 my dad had a spare region 1 dvd and im from the UK, does that matter because it still isnt workin...i dont want to buy a dvd drive, just to get the same message
BraTTy 0 Posted August 20, 2007 You can change the region 3 times (can flash the bios and have it region free) so no it doesn't matter
