opteryx 1562 Posted August 9, 2007 Is that an AGP card? I'm far from an hardware expert but I had the same LOD bugs on my old 6600, I increased the AGP aperture in the BIOS and rid myself with most of the LOD problems. After that I've had an 6800 and now a 8800, haven't seen a single LOD bug on those cards. I'm sure you can search these forums for an explanation on the aperture thing. JustEvil 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Is that an AGP card? No. GeForce 7900GS is a PCI-E card.
Infam0us 10 Posted August 9, 2007 I get this sometimes if I join a server that has been playing the game for a long time. For instance Evo, or a Bezerk Map. How long does the issue last for? Mine clears up within a few seconds so no harm done there. Also, have you tried using the flush command at all when it happens?
Mr_Tea 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Use the "Flush" command to clear the video RAM, or use ALT+Tab to switch out and back into Arma should fix that problem.
JustEvil 0 Posted August 10, 2007 Flush does more bad, ALT+Tab it is yet so alone bad than it was. Â Quote[/b] ]I get this sometimes if I join a server that has been playing the game for a long time. It at me happens on MP (in SP I infrequently play), after several hours (4 hours, I do not remember), to play them longer from to start problem this it gets bad. Flush does bad than it was, it does so alone Alt+Tab. Â Only what to help this to start ArmA once again (go out game, close game and start again), but this very irritating action. troop 0 Posted August 10, 2007 After outflow several hours playing in Armed Assault, it with game happens oneself something likeHardware: Galaxy GeForce 7900GS 540/1700 256MB 1.2ns Zalman Edition VGA Drivers: ForceWare 97.73 The original GeForce 7900GS is clocked at 450/1320 - The Galaxy GeForce 7900GS is already *heavily* factory overclocked at 550/1500 You know, what you have to do now, dont you? While you're at it, update your driver to 97.92 Problem solved?
Infam0us 10 Posted August 10, 2007 I really can't understand what your trying to say. The Flush command makes it worse? And also this problem only occurs after a few hours of play? This happens with me also, but it clears up in a few seconds, does your's not clear up? Also incase you don't understand the above poster he is referring to underclocking (At least I think he is )
JustEvil 0 Posted August 10, 2007 Quote[/b] ]The Flush command makes it worse? Yes. Quote[/b] ]This happens with me also, but it clears up in a few seconds, does your's not clear up? No, only restart ArmA helps. @troop Mistake, You have right. But i overclock's my card to 620/1740 (standard clocks is 540/1500). CPU is overclocked to 2700Mhz, RAM @ 902Mhz. Nvm It does not want to do update drivers. Then does not work Lock On: Modern Air Combat. BTW: Yes, I know. My english is horrible. But I use translators, without this was bad. Kirby 2 Posted August 10, 2007 i think he means you shouldn't overclock your card?
JustEvil 0 Posted August 10, 2007 ArmA with no OC have same problems. Checked! I have that problems only in ArmA. Other games work properly.
Infam0us 10 Posted August 10, 2007 I know you said you tried updating the drivers. But have you tried some new graphics card drivers all together, might solve the problem?
JustEvil 0 Posted August 11, 2007 When i changed drivers (97.92) after 2 hours ArmA exit with that error
Stugwi 0 Posted August 11, 2007 I was getting similar graphic issues and CTD's. I opened up my PC, removed my card (xfx7900gs overclocked) and gave it a dam good clean removing all dust - try sticking the nozzle of a hoover directly ontop of the fan. I also removed as much dust as possible all inner workings of the PC and it seems to have done the job. I built the rig 5 months ago and its amazing how dust can accumulate inside even with a filter on my intake fan.
troop 0 Posted August 12, 2007 When i changed drivers (97.92) after 2 hours ArmA exit with that error MIG25_Radek, Can you please post an link to an screenshot, which shows your ingame settings? Open video options, choose 'advanced' and make an screenshot, please. This driver (97.92) is proven OK with ArmA and your GFX-card; but your settings are too high, if you get this error. You *must* lower certain ingame settings, to be able to play for *hours* continously without artifacts and/or crashing game. - BTW;..if you get this error only after *2 hours* of play, you already got *good* settings, which only require you to lower 1(2) settings a little further to play completely stable. OH yes! Aint that the truth. Always keep an eye on dust-buildup. Soo much difference to heat/stability.

JustEvil 0 Posted August 12, 2007 I've set in the options as You recommended but without the visibility which I leaved it on 500m, it doesn't have any differences. I took some rounds in Cobra in the editor, shooted and CTD with error after 8 minutes (I was playing 12 minutes before and turned on ALT+TAB to surf in internet, I came back and set as you recommended after 20 minutes CTD ). I changed even my drivers to version 162.50, with older also were problems and even with this drivers are problems. Now I've set this options: Resolution: 1024x768 Range: 3000m Terrain Detail: Normal Objects Detail: High Texture Detail: Normal Shading: Normal Postprocessing: Low Anizotroping Filtering: Very High Shadow Detail: Low Antyaliasing: High Blood Detail: High and it is the same. I remember now when my RAM haven't got any air regulation (because it is Overclocked and radiator can't make it) my ArmA was working longer. But tests on Orthose (once by 2 hours, one hour and then 3 hours) didn't find any distabilization. So I don't know what to do, something is wrong, all other games are working properly but this fucking ArmA has some problems
JustEvil 0 Posted August 13, 2007 Today I try play on ArmA at all options on Very Low. And Windows Error Raport or whatever.
