CameronMcDonald 146 Posted May 12, 2008 Not too shabby. It'd be better to show us the vest without mag pouches on, so we can check your normals, etc. If you make any other models of vest, e.g. Tac Tailor MAVs, etc, kindly let me know!
CRIONYK 0 Posted May 12, 2008 it's only a small work in progress. i started this model three weeks ago. i just created basic texture... i dont know how to add sewing effect on the vest. (no normal maps yet). this is one of my alternate project. i'm working on a plug-in series which allow player to change BIS soldiers model with mines. Blufor will have marine infantry (Marpat Desert and woodland) and SF (Marpat desert, woodland and ACU urban). Independants will have the "United Sahrani Infantry Division" in TigerACU camo and SF in various camos. About OpFor, i'm searching ideas  Edit : if you have detailed photos of MAVs or tac tailor, i can do my best to create them

CRIONYK 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Hi all another WIP from my blufor addon. MBSS texture have been done by CameronMcDonald. i've planned to do an infantry addon based around this vest and my weapon pack. any idea of what i can add on mbss vest ? (what backpack, what camelback... etc)
Elite SEAL 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Out of curiousity are you doing multiple camo patterns for the infantry? (MARPAT, MultiCam, 3 Colour Desert etc.) Oh and great looking vest, keep up the great work .
CRIONYK 0 Posted May 24, 2008 at this time, i have MARPAT desert and woodland, ACU Urban, Spec4ce woodland, Tiger desert and Spec4ce metro. MARPAT and ACU will be used on blufor units, others will go on Independants units. i have multicam camo but i havent planned to use it. Quote[/b] ]Oh and great looking vest, keep up the great work of course
Elite SEAL 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Certainly would be nice to see some inf/SF with that vest and Crye MultiCam. Nice to see your going to include some of the Spec4ce camos though. Either way, eagerly waiting for eventual release Oh and need any testers?
CRIONYK 0 Posted May 25, 2008 About multicam, i have a new body armor to work with. i hope i will finish it soon then i could post screens . the main problem now is "what sort of load-out can i add on this vest ?".
Elite SEAL 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Possible vest loadouts could include any of the following (just my opinion): Rifleman: <ul> [*]Two/Three double M4/AK Magazine pouches [*]utility pouch. [*]radio pouch. [*]Cross-draw pistol holster (if lacking drop-leg Tactical Holster). [*]Flashbang/Smoke Grenade pouches. Grenadier: <ul> [*]Two/Three double M4/AK Magazine pouches [*]utility pouch. [*]radio pouch. [*]40mm "pouches". [*]Cross-draw pistol holster (if lacking drop-leg Tactical Holster). [*]Flashbang/Smoke Grenade pouches. Support Gunner: <ul> [*]large pouches for 200 round 5.56x45mm boxes for a M249/Mk46 [*]or large pouches for 100 round 7.62x51mm for M240/M60/Mk48. [*]utility pouch [*]radio pouch [*]Cross-draw pistol holster (if lacking drop-leg Tactical Holster). Hope my suggestions help. Cheers.

Elite SEAL 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Awesome work mate, really liking the look of that vest. Maybe you should consider mixing it up a bit, giving some units with Cross-draw/vest mounted holster and some with extra stuff on their vest and a drop-leg/thigh holster. Probably for Grenadier for example so he has extra room for 40mm grenades, aswell as other needed items (mags for his rifle, smoke/frag grenades etc.)
CRIONYK 0 Posted June 1, 2008 Quote[/b] ]utility pouch.radio pouch. do you have example, photos... ? there is BIS pouches but i want to do something different. Quote[/b] ]Oh and need any testers? i have to do normal maps and shadow maps then i will be able to send file for tester. i will send you link to my forum then you and your friends can register on. Elite SEAL 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Hey Crionyk, If you ever consider further customising your characters with high-end gear, would you consider giving them a new type of drop-leg Tactical/Thigh holster? Such as the ones below: Eagle Industries - SAS Mark V Airborne Holster Eagle Industries - SAS Mark V Holster with Light Mount Blackhawk - Omega VI Ultra Holster Not entirely sure if its possible or not, but seeing as how Queens Gambit (originally) had a pistol in the holster you might be able to put one of your own pistols in the holster as part of the model. For instance having the Glock with Tactical Light in either the Blackhawk Omega VI Ultra or SAS Mark V with Light Mount. Please give this some consideration as I for one would like to see some new holsters in ArmA. Thank you very much for all your hard work .
