ozog 0 Posted July 26, 2007 I just takes up the screen and when he shoots it dosent go were he aimed it at ......... Also he had this game for 6 or 5 months ............he never really told any1 because he thought thats how the game was made
mr reality 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Theres nothing wrong with those screenshots but thats how it looks when you use the zoom view. It takes a while getting used to it, at least it is for me as i'm still struggling to use this sight view. For me there is too much intrusion in the sight view and i often find myself having to unzoom to locate my moving target. Believe it or not i served in the British army and i think (imho) that this game is far harder to shoot a target, moving or stationary, than it is in reality. I was a good shot in the army but in Arma i'm bloody usless
DBO_ 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Tell your friend that his sight is fully zoomed in. default keys are + and - on the number keypad he should check his controls and see if they are conflicting with something and he is always on full zoom when he accesses iron sights. zoomed out zoomed in
max power 21 Posted July 26, 2007 He can set up his controls to make it so that double right click accesses the iron sight view while holding the right mouse button zooms in. Then you can have the iron sights open with the mouse without also zooming in. I just use the v button, myself. There is a matter of sight zeroing. Without getting too technical, because bullets drop as soon as they leave the barrel, it is often angled up slightly in relation to the sights. This lobs the bullet. They can make it so that the bullets will pass through the centre of the sights at a given distance. I think the sights on the SAW are zeroed for 300 meters or so.. so at 150 meters you will have to aim slightly below what you want to shoot, and at 500m you will have to aim slightly higher. ozog 0 Posted July 26, 2007 i have been on a server with him and he aimed at the second target from the hanger in the evolution map ,the bullet hit way to the left .......i asked him about that zoom and he said if he hold right click it zooms even more.... frogg 0 Posted July 27, 2007 store........ FYI So you know what these people are talking about, the game has a built-in Anti-piracy/cheat system called FADE. This system detects if you are using a non-legitimate copy, and slowly degrades the performance of the game (ie. bullets start to not go where you aim, enemy accuracy gets better etc) This system slowly kicks in and gradually makes the game worse, to the point where it is virtually unplayable. Make sure your friend is using a legitimately purchased copy, and that he is not using a no-cd crack. Make sure he is not using any "trainer" like cheats. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/OFP:_TroubleShooting#Fade
smellyjelly 0 Posted July 27, 2007 Technically, Arma doesn't use FADE, but a very similar program.
