Spiggs 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Hello All I've been having problems with the old leaky handles and have tried the ATI hotfix but is states that it won't work on Fujitsu PC's and I'm to contact them. Unfortunately they don't have a solution, and frankly, don't care (Bleedin' multi-nationals ) Anyhoo, I'm not sure what to do so I though it would be best to feedback into the ARMA collective for; 1. Info at least. 2. A possible solution! ps. I've just installed all new memory too and the problems the same! Yours Spiggsy (AKA Gutted he can't play ARMA dag-nabbit! )

Spiggs 0 Posted July 19, 2007 the hotfix was a joke, so forget it. Download 7.6 drivers and ur good to go Thanks, I don't suppose you'd have a link as the ATI site doesn't seem to have 7.6 anymore?
NeMeSiS 11 Posted July 19, 2007 EDIT: In that case, forget it Why wont it install? Have you tried installing 7.7?
Spiggs 0 Posted July 19, 2007 EDIT: In that case, forget it Why wont it install? Have you tried it? Yup, DL'ed it, ran it.... failed I just get an ATI Dialogue box with "Unfortunately this software cannot be installed on you system. please contact your notebook manufacturer for driver updates! Fujitsu have none..... Unfortunately. I am running a Fujitsu Amilo laptop with a Mobility Radeon X1800 which has run ARMA sweetly for ages up until the last 2 months. Then I started getting graphic artifacts and a finally a BSOD. Now it BSOD after 20 minutes or so? Everything else runs ok? Thanks for the BTW
NeMeSiS 11 Posted July 19, 2007 If it suddenly started giving artifacts etc then it may be related to overheating, especially since temperatures go up in this time of the year.
Pringles 0 Posted July 20, 2007 see if this link helps http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=28636 I used to have to use similar hacks to get newest ati drivers on my notebook, luckily their standard drivers started working, so I don't have to anymore... kklownboy 43 Posted July 20, 2007 you are using the 'Mobile" 7.7s? and not the Cat/drivers for cards? Go to DriverHeaven and check out there mobile?ATI utility to install newer drivers... @Puma the hot fix worked great. the 7.6s worked great too. the 7.7s work better. AND he was talking about a laptop.... there was no hotfix for mobile.? The chances of getting "timely" game updates for laptops is nada. The artifacts could well be heat, blow out the vents...
